"I reached out to Magna-Tech Temp Air on Aug 11 after I noticed some ice on one of the lines of the outside unit of our HVAC system (condenser). The call was promptly answered by Albert, who was very attentive, professional, and courteous. After a brief description of the issue I was having, a schedule to inspect the unit was made for the following day, Aug 12. Albert and another tech arrived on time on the day of the scheduled appointment, and even gave a courtesy notice that they were on their way an hour before arriving. Upon arriving, they were prepared with masks and booties, which was a gesture I appreciated because it conveyed respectfulness and professionalism. They immediately went to work, carefully diagnosing the issue and inspecting potential trouble spots. It turns out that my system had a leak, that caused the refrigerant level to decrease, and that low refrigerant level was the reason for the ice on the system. Albert is very good at what he does because he knew which places to look at first and found the root cause within minutes. He patiently explained the issue to me, and the steps they would do to fix it along with a fair assessment of the cost of the work. I wasn't exactly keeping track of time, but it felt like it took them about an hour, maybe just a little over, to complete the entire job of diagnosing, finding the leak, repairing the leak, and recharging the system. I must have been a little annoying with all my questions about HVAC systems, but it was something I felt I needed to ask an experienced tech like Albert directly, in order to avoid unknowingly doing something that would shorten the life of the HVAC. I appreciated his patience. I would definitely recommend Albert and Magna-Tech Temp Air to our family and friends who might need HVAC services in the future.
