"Colossal ineptitude. I went to get the battery replaced on my old iPhone 6. The person working there had no idea what he was doing, repeatedly asked for help from his colleague, but mercifully 20 min later I was told to pick up the phone the next day. For a battery change. So be it. As I get home, they call my landline to tell me that the battery had been replaced previously by a third-party brand and so they can't replace my battery. Would have been nice if they had told me this before, but no matter, I return to the store, wait another 20 min while they refund what I paid, and get the phone. I get home and the screen is blank and the phone is not working anymore. Now, it's probably just because it's old, but it had never done that prior to my visit. So, wasted day. The attitude of the employee I worked with was the most irritating part. Not only did he have no idea what he was doing, he was brazen in his incompetence. I have no idea how he has a job there. I would never return to this location again and I would drive the additional 15 miles to go to a proper Apple store."
"lazy people out there. They are not ready to work basically. I dont know whether some manager is tracking or not, not sure if manager is lazy as well. I really hope bestbuy should do better job compare to online giants so that lot of lazy employees in this centre can get monthly salary. If these guys keep doing this way, soon bestbuy kind of store will go bankrupt."
"Tried to call and find out if they could fix my chromebook. After pushing a bunch of buttons to try to get a live person I was forwarded to a recording telling me to either come.in the store (what is the point if they cant fix what is wrong) or go online (which i was unable to do)"
"Complete nightmare. Dropped almost $2k and nothing was done. After the sales Manager walked our home and provided an estimate, we were assured that we would be refunded any of our deposit that wasn’t spent. The technicians were not prepared to do any of the work discussed so we thanked them and asked them to leave. It’s been a week of calls and emails. No refund and no follow up from manager. Considering options to get our money back. Anyone else is better."
"Spilled a small part of my starbucks flat white on my laptop keyboard yesterday. Did some minor cleanup, and rushed to best buy for help. The geek squad member (who had absolutely no affect) advised me that it would cost $150 to retrieve data and then I would have to buy a new laptop. His manager concurred, adding, "sure, it's possible it will dry out and work, but I've never seen it." Went home to consider options, my son turned on the laptop ... and it worked. My recommendations: Don't drink coffee while you work. And NEVER, NEVER go to best buy in gaithersburg for help."
