"I started training jiu jitsu close to 15 years ago until my daughter was born. Although I loved the sport I loved her more. Now at age 43 I decided to take the plunge again, except i have a following, a wife and 3 kids. All the negative thoughts of I'm too old, I'm out of shape, I won't keep up, cluttered my mind. Being who I am, I gave it a shot. Absolutely the best decision of my life. I'm completely obsessed with the sport. You won't know until you try it. I'm in the best shape of my life, and getting better. The positives for me were. Great cardio endurance, the fat dropped right off me due to the sparring sessions and my stress levels pretty much diminished to nothing. As well as a ton of confidence and assertiveness. For my children. Their confidence is at an all time high and knowing they can defend themselves, especially my girls takes a lot of stress off my mind. One of the things jiu jitsu teaches us is how to be comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. That alone is priceless. Craig and Quinn run an amazing school. Most schools have 1 black belt at best. This is the only school that I know of that has 5 black belts teaching all through the week. Each one, a master of his style and eager to share his knowledge. At any given day u may have 3 blackbelts on the mat. The school also has striking classes as well as fitness classes that will totally transform your physique. The family feel is by far my favorite. You'll see everything from a high school kid to someone like me. You'll see children and families training together. There will be no ego, no mat bullies and no anger at all on the mats. There will be appreciation, love and respect. This is by far the best school around, if I can say anything to a possible new member is "one week" try it free for one week and then you'll know."

"I came to this academy as a total beginner. I had never done any combat sport in my life and I was super intimidated! Fear not, this is a stellar place for not just beginners but for women as well. There is a great balance of both men and women plus there are classes for girls only!
