"If I could give negative stars, I would. It is absolutely absurd to me that “it’s best to call” before I go up to get propane because “I don’t know when they will be in or leave for the day”. You have posted hours. Honor them. Period. It’s poor management. And it’s poor service that no one else can fill propane if the people in the tire sales department don’t feel like working on any particular day. For years we’ve literally never had an issue. And the last few months it’s a nightmare. You had a sign on your door today “Lunch break 30 min” at 3:40 PM. I was back at 4:20 (still within your hours of operation). The sign was down and the doors were locked. I called the store, was told the people in that department left for the day and there’s no one else there who can help me. “If you want to try tomorrow you can. It’s just best to call first.” Like really? And unfortunately, it’s $5 cheaper a tank there than anywhere else. So I either have to pay extra money or deal with the chaos and mismanagement at this location. Both those options suck."
"I sometimes visit this BJ’s location as an alternative to another one that I go to. This location is usually clean, not too crowded, and has plenty of open registers for checkout. One complaint that I have the last time I visited today is that out on a parking lot there were tons of shopping carts thrown everywhere from between cars, parking spaces or on a little concrete islands. This was very discouraging and I hope management will pay attention to it and fixes the issue. Besides just plain looking bad, it is a very high potential for damaging your car and an insurance claim against the store."
"The WORST!!!! This Tire and Sales Locations SUCKS!!! They do not keep to their hours. There are 3 people in the parking lot right now and it’s locked. Second time I have come here for propane and closed when they should be open."
"I’ve been a Costco member for the last 7 years and really enjoy the shopping experience there. Yesterday when shopping nearby with my friend, she asked if we could stop by to get some food, as she had been a member there for years throughout her marriage and hasn’t been to the store since her divorce this summer. When we walked in, she went to the customer service to check her membership status. After almost 10 minutes, she was reassured that her joint account with her ex husband was still valid another month and a half, and we started shopping. After an hour, we were ready to pay for a cart full of food and leave. However, the self check out machines declined her car. She walked back to the customer service as I waited by the food. After almost 10 minutes, I walked over there to find out what was taking her so long. This time there was a man with a bandana on his head working behind the counter. She explained to me what she was told: her ex-husband had removed her from the joined account and that she could no longer purchase anything unless she either signed up and paid for a separate membership or paid paid an extra 20% on the food we wanted to purchase. She was very upset that she was misled earlier by the women behind the counter and also the fact that the man now serving at the counter had a very serious look on his face and was not helping her in any way. When I heard him confirm that she had to pay 20% extra and dismissing her argument that she was misinformed earlier, I told him that we ARE NOT paying extra for all the food we bought and decided to leave. This was the most disappointing shopping experience I had in my entire life living across across four continents and shopping in over 17 countries. What happened to our “customer first” service mentality? This type of behavior should have no place in corporate America or service industry in general. The rude behavior of the customer service explains one of the reasons why the store was mostly empty during rush hour and I discourage anyone ever visiting this chain. I heard no apology for the poor service there and am glad that I have a gold standard in service through Costco."
