"I am an uber driver, and decided to make a stop at this 711 tonight to grab a snack and a beverage while I was on my to pick up a passenger. As I was driving, the passenger sent me a text asking if I was lost. In order to be safe and responsible , I waited until I was fully parked to text them back, rather than texting and driving. It was a quick text to let them know I was making a stop and would be an extra minute or two longer. Before I could even type two words I heard a loud startling knock on my window, and looked to my left and see a guy in a turban standing there, eyes bulging with anger. At First I thought I was about to be attacked or abducted, until I realized its the guy that works behind the counter. . I was absolutely livid that anyone would approach me so violently immediately after I park. It was As if he was outside waiting to scare someone. I rolled down my window to see what he wanted, and he screamed at me “what is going on?” I responded by letting him know that I had come to 711 to buy a snack and that I needed to quickly respond to a text that I received just a couple minutes prior. I explained that I was driving and that it is illegal to text and drive, and that this is why I didn’t just fly out of my car. I kid you not, not even 15 seconds had passed. This guy gave me no time to even grab my wallet and take off my seatbelt before screaming at me and threatening to call the police if I didn’t immediately leave. I wasn’t loitering, I wasn’t taking an unreasonable amount of time , and I wasn’t doing ANYTHING wrong. This owner or employee could not calm down. He verbally abused me and was on the phone calling the police before I could even get the key back in the ignition. It was absolutely bizarre, given that I am a young petite Caucasian female and I was by MYSELF. How is that threatening in any way? I would sympathize if I had a male passenger or something with me and thought this guy was legitimately scared of getting robbed or whatever, but this wasn’t the case. He wanted to call the cops because in his psycho opinion, I was taking too long to get out of my car. Nothing about that is illegal or grounds for telling me to leave, let alone calling the cops. His harassment is what might be illegal if anything. You aren’t legally allowed to just harass people who come to your store. Why would this guy ever feel threatened by a female who is working to support herself and stopping for a snack along the way? He is crazy, he is violent, and he is the real threat to the community with his raging temper and unreasonable anger. You never know what people that angry are capable of. I hope the Hatboro police arrest him for his atrocious behavior. Its a disturbance to the peace. He scared the pants off me. Stay as far as you can from this 711. This guy is likely to project his rage on you no matter what you do. I did nothing wrong or offensive. literally nothing. Maybe the guy was robbed or something, but going around acting like a barbarian and treating law abiding members of the community like animals is not an appropriate or acceptable way to handle it, nor does it stave off those who intend to do harm. Theres no reason and no excuse."
