Quietly and quickly did an expert repair, left it clean and caulked. I couldn't have asked for more, and the price was reasonable. I'm keeping his number around for when I need help. "I had Jim Ness do work for us in installing floor and wall cabinets, and drywall repair. They came at the appointed time; they were professional in their work, and were very congenial. They would always ask what we wanted done and on the wall cabinets, asked where the placement should be. They did exactly what we wanted. They dry wall was extremely professional. The walls and paint were over 17 years old. The finished product was fantastic. You cannot tell the difference between the older pain on the walls and the new paint. A perfect match. I would highly recommend Jim Ness and company for any handy man work. They also worked with us on the day and time that we wished them to do the work. "This is the first contractor with whom I had an issue. As I came to find, this is the type of company that needs constant supervision while the work is performed. I paid for the work in good faith; however, when I inspected what was done, I found the job to be sloppy and not given the attention it deserved. It leaves a very bad taste in one’s mouth when someone thinks they have performed a quality job and we as consumers need to push back and tell them that they didn’t. For example, when attempting to repair a leaky window, the handyman cracked it and left without a word. It took weeks to get the new window and it was finally installed, but who has the time to go through that hassle? Another issue was my deck, which was sprayed rather than brushed (the technique I had been accustomed to that always works well). The end result was a spotted mess that I had to express dissatisfaction about and then again request a fix. Weeks later, a repairman came and brushed the deck and it finally looked good; however, he neglected to brush the spindles and they remain spotted with spray from the first go-round. As if that were not enough, the screen door was supposed to be fixed with a new screen, but that job was left with an obvious hole. I again had to call to get that fixed. I am just relieved that the remedial work is finally over so that I can move on with a better contractor who is more reasonably priced and does the job right the first time."
