"Always brings about nostalgia and has a rustic old country town vibe that blends with a Candy Kitchen from the beach energy. Plenty of the goodies, chocolates, candies, and snacks that are really hard to find in a convenience store or anywhere else for that matter. If you are anywhere around here, it is always nice to just swing through and grab some of those harder to get goodies to take home and enjoy at your own leisure. You won't be disappointed!"

"Saturday November 11th 2023 This place is rad. Super nostalgic, you can find *almost* any type of candy available in existence along with trail mixes & 4 types of roasted peanuts. We got several candies for ourselves, our kids & my inlaws. Just don't ask for O'Henry or Sky Bars, they do not carry them. They also don't have any type of gluten free chocolates or gf chocolate pretzels although I'm not surprised, just disappointed. When I inquired about the fudge, she said "I think its gluten free", but I'm not risking getting sick on a guess. Please don't guess & risk getting people sick. I was very clear about having Celiac disease, too. They sell the peanut brittle by the pound but wouldn't sell me less than half a pound, which I found strange since they have a scale. There's elephants decorated throughout the store in honor of peanuts, & I love that because they're my favorite animal. We were allowed to sample the different types of peanuts before making our selection (we got extra roasted, the most delicious of the bunch!) Worth checking out if you're in the area but I wouldn't travel a long distance to go."

"I absolutely adore this quaint little candy shop! I LOVE how they have the candy I had when I was growing up.. the lollipop whistles, the little plastic fruit filled with colored sugar, marshmallow top ice cream cones, Zots! If you want a blast from your past, this is the place to go! They also have really good clear toy candy,. Rainbow popcorn, and of course, fresh roasted peanuts mmmm! We will definitely be back to visit again soon ♡"

"Amazing! Lived in Port Clinton as a kid, and used to buy Penney candies at the Peanut Shop... haven't been in the area for 30 years, but stopped on our road trip from TX to NY. What a flood of memories as you open the door! The same smell, feel, look... AMAZING! So grateful to the new owners for keeping this wonderful shop the treasure that it is!"
