"I can’t say enough about the Dog Smith of Hunterdon. Our first dog Suzy was a lab, she was so sweet and likable, and really didn’t require training. But when she passed away and our hearts were broken, we rescued Dove, WELL! We didn’t know what to do, she was of course adorable, but, she needed training...we tried another training company, but they didn’t have the patients and she became afraid of them. So a friend recommended the Dogsmith, Kelly and her staff were so patient and caring, like they’re training there own pets. They also teach the humans how to follow through and use the tools that they teach. I wouldn’t use any other training service. You will be thrilled with the results."
"Kelly cares about the well-being of dogs and their people and is committed to humane, force-free training methods."
"Outstanding. A true canine professional. She helps me with my highly fear-aggressive rescue. Kelly cares for her when I go away. She handles my girl beautifully. I would not trust anyone else with my Shelby. So lucky to have someone like Kelly."
"My husband, son (6 at the time), and I got our lab/poodle mix puppy at 8 weeks old. Neither of us had a dog since we were kids, so hiring a trainer seemed like a responsible thing to do. I met Kelly at an event and instantly realized her passion and knowledge of dogs and force free training. We hired her when we got our puppy and she worked weekly with us on basic manners. Raising a puppy can sometimes feel overwhelming, but Kelly reassured us that feeling was normal and that consistency is key. Lulu, our puppy learned so much over the time with Kelly. What we enjoyed most working with her is that we were never made to feel like We weren’t doing a good job with our puppy if we didn’t practice a skill until mastered. Kelly explained that different families have different things that are important for their dog to know and know well. That made us feel competent when focusing on the skills we thought were important to our family and never felt pressured to “ace” them all. Kelly is a highly knowledgeable, passionate, and caring trainer/ dog sitter! Respectfully submitted- Sandy Catenaro"
"The owner of this business is a dishonest woman. She is vindictive and not trustworthy. Beware. I wouldn't trust her with my dogs. She will say anything and hurt whoever she needs to if it puts another dollar in her pocket. By the way, the 5 star review below is her husband."
