"This plan is so disfunctional, the leaders who claim to run this plan, which in my case was said and advertised to be a Johns Hopkins run program, actually is not. I jusy contacted the PMI i selected, appointments 5 weeks out, same poor customer experience, like i should be glad to take a day of for their inconveinient hours of operation, and no weekend appointments. Also no of my information was current, which raised me to question their affiliation. Johns Hopins or the US Family Health Plan, seems to be more of a referal, with many, and i meean many glitches to their delivery of services. I plan to monitor for mote info, but i am very dissapointed that as a Military Retiree, this is the selection i am given....."
"I live in Ocean Pines, the eastern shore of Maryland, and am completely satisfied with my choice of care provider. I fall under TidelHealth, formally Peninsula General, and have nothing but praise for my local Ocean Pines office. I'm comfortable knowing that I have the resources of Johns Hopkins, if and when necessary - Ron Dameron..."
"I just made the switch of June and this has been nothing but a nightmare! They do not allow new enrollees the option of selecting their PCM when enrolling. Instead, they assign you elsewhere, where you have to wait several months to get an initial appointment as a new patient. Then when trying to get them to update to your established PCM, you have to jump through a million hoops with multiple phone calls and secure messages to get it to go through. Now mine finally went through after 20 days of fighting with them, and I tried getting my now way past due prescription filled, only to have Walgreens not be able to see me as an active member through insurance. I called to speak to a rep, which I couldn't as they close at freaking 4:30 PM, but instead heard a message about Walgreens pharmacist needing to call Caremark Help Desk to get a new member's prescription details. This has taken up my entire afternoon, and could have simply been resolved if there was some actual communication when we sign up for the plan. I have no idea if I'm going to be able to get my prescription any time soon since I'm now waiting on the pharmacist to hopefully get the information they need to fill my prescription. Not to mention, I also came up as "inactive" when submitting my United Concordia card yesterday at the dentist for my free cleaning that is supposedly a part of this plan...the card I received from United Concordia as a part of being on this plan! Every single thing I have attempted so far with this insurance has shown me as inactive, despite my portal showing me as active since 23 June! Stay with Tricare Prime - unless you want this insurance to give you a stroke like I'm about to have!"
"Get rid of Wal Greens as your pharmacy. Our area has a high population of retired military within a 50 mile radius. Wal Green Pharmacy is only open until 6 during the week and NO WEEKEND hours. This makes it hard on people who work and are taking care of their parents that can't fend for themselves. Once again I waited several days for his refill told it was going to be in today. Checked again this morning. Just got back from a 20 mile drive down to be told it wasn't on the truck. Pretty bad when even your doctor's office have problems with the pharmacy."
"Less than 30 days under the Johns Hopkins US Family Health Plan and It been a total disaster. I can't think of anything they have done well accept sign me up. My worst decision in 10 years. Two weeks after my first visit to my PCM and having prescriptions ordered to treat my type II Diabetes. I have yet to be able to get an authorization completed to be able to pickup my medication. Never had this problem at any MTF even in retirement. I will be making every effort to switch back if possible. What make s it even worst you can never get anyone on the phone and they never call back. Believe these reviews.....Johns Hopkins USFHP is the worst."
