"We reached out to Elaine a year ago when both of us became self employed. We opted to carry Cobra until we found something else. All Elaine said is that “we had time”. Never really clarified what that meant or explained to us about Maryland Health connection. Fast forward to now, after NUMEROUS EXHAUSTED emails back in forth, this is what happened in the last 30 days…. She explained we needed a termination of cobra benefits letter in order to be approved by bcbs. Maryland Health Connection didn’t need a term letter. She was crickets the entire month of October about them. Not sure if she was being paid more commission by going directly via bcbs, but if that’s the case, shame on her. Communication was horrible. Days would go by with out responses. When we first started getting her emails, she wasn’t engaging and had very short responses. At times no clear direct to her emails. It was taxing and that should have been our first hint that working with her was going to be a challenge. Doesn’t follow through with insurance approval turn around time. We relied on her to assist us to get medical insurance. She didn’t give us all the options, but only increase our anxiety beyond normal. As I prayed for someone to help us get insurance, as we were on the final day, I had another insurance specialist text me about open enrollment. After speaking to him, we had the same insurance policy in 30 min"

"I don’t think I’ve ever left a review but after dealing with Elaine I had to… Elaine was great I’ve been stressed out about health insurance for awhile I would start trying to find a plan and I’d overwhelmed with all the choices and plans and just say forget it and put it off until I decided I’ll try and get help. I called her she didn’t answer and I sent her a message and within the hour she called me back. She was kind and extremely helpful even though she was on vacation she took time out of her day to get me coverage I cannot recommend her enough."
