"This place is brilliant. Simply brilliant. Hayden is honestly one of the best artists I have ever worked with. She's amazingly talented with both new works and coverups. (No one believed my half sleeves were coverups until I showed them the side by side pics). And she takes an incredible amount of joy in her work. When discussing an idea, her excitement very nearly matched mine. She was as psyched to do it as I was to get it! Her work just top notch! Hayden is able to take disparate existing tattoos or nebulous ideas and turn them into a cohesive piece. And her tattoos hold up to the passage of time. I have a piece that looks amazing and reads perfectly 7 years later. She also is honest and ethical. Let me explain what I mean. If an idea won't translate well to a tattoo, she lets you know. And she handles this type of situation with grace and aplomb. So instead of just shutting everything down, she takes the "well no, but" approach. So if your idea for a piece won't work, she explains why and offers a pleathora of suggestions and alternatives. That's another reason why her pieces stand the test of time, she makes sure they're designed to be. And the Kewpie Tattoo studio itself is really welcoming and cozy. There's privacy curtains to keep lookyloos away. You can listen to music, watch YouTube videos, watch a movie or a TV show episode, or just relax. There's a full length mirror so you can check out the piece before, during, and after. She also takes care to keep the temperature at a comfortable level. Additionally, Hayden has pillows available since staying in some positions gets rough sometimes. (They're sealed and covered in those single use pillow cases you see at the doctor's for safety and hygienic purposes). I can't recommend Hayden and Kewpie Tattoo Parlour enough!
