"I'm always looking for new ways to connect me to my roots. And the legend of the Chinese red thread has always been told to me growing up and has always been so special. It connects your soul to loved ones, and that's what I really wanted out of this tattoo and I got it. It healed beautifully as you can see in the second picture. Mimi and everyone else at Amour Tattoo was so kind to me, she treated me with great hospitality while I was getting my tattoo done with her and when we were talking outside of that. She even designed this one and I love it. This was my first tattoo and it was a wonderful experience. Thank you for everything Mimi!"

"I’m extremely disappointed to be leaving such a negative comment for this shop, but Mimi definitely deserved this review. I reached out to Cuong to set up a consult for a tattoo about a month ago, and went in for my appointment as scheduled. The first red flag should’ve been the fact that I had been in communication with Cuong and scheduled my consult with him.. but ended up being called back by Mimi instead of Cuong as expected. I decided to roll with the punches, and go with her even though I hadn’t expected it. The consult went seemingly well, and Mimi seemed very accommodating and kind.. at first. I paid the deposit and scheduled my appointment for October 23rd. Fast forward to Oct. 15th, I reached out to Mimi via text to see about potentially rescheduling my appointment, as something had come up. No reply. The 22nd rolls around, I reach out to her via text again, and call the shop. She replies this time, and tells me she’ll call me when she’s finished with a client. No call. Okay, maybe she just got busy. No biggie. I’m a generally understanding person. I reach out to her via text a couple of days ago about rescheduling, (at this point it had been over a week with no reply or explanation) to which she replied and asked if I could come in on this upcoming Monday. I told her I couldn’t, so she suggested Tuesday. In less than an hour, I replied and told her Tuesday worked.. and asked her what time. I also asked her if there was anyway we could tweak the tattoo a bit, as I was not fully happy with the idea I had come up with initially, she said yes, but had a bit of an attitude throughout the interaction after I asked .. (as if a tattoo isn’t something that will be on my body permanently..) I asked her again what time would work for her on Tuesday, to which she never gave an answer to. I messaged her today after never receiving a response, and politely asked her what time I should come in on Tuesday. She replies, “To late, I already booked someone else on Tuesday” .. ( and yes, she used the incorrect too and everything.) Mind you, SHE had suggested Tuesday herself, and would have had plenty of time to let me know that she had already booked someone else day of. Furthermore, she NEVER responded when I asked her what time I should come in. No apology was given, only excuses.. she even said I should be more ‘mindful’ as if I hadn’t been more than understanding even though she had been ignoring me for weeks. She then attempted to try hardballing me into booking with her on Wednesday instead of Tuesday like she had suggested.. and when I pointed out the fact that she had ignored me twice, she played victim. Long story short, I have no opinion on the other artists, as I’ve had little to no interactions with them… but stay away from Mimi if you value your sanity and braincells :) There are plenty of other artists in the area that value their clientele and know how to operate with professionalism and kindness. "

"Mimi made my first tattoo experience very pleasant. I felt like I was good hands from the moment we first talked about the tattoo idea. Her skills are incredible and she provides a welcoming and calming environment. Cuong also assisted with placement and some freehand drawing and tattooing. Lnow that you will be in good hands if you go there. The shop itself is very clean and comfortable. Please be advised the entrance is behind the building, the same building that Google takes you to, upstairs in suite 305."

"I found Cuong online and loved his portfolio of black and gray tattoos. He did an amazing job on my quarter sleeve, which required a lot of detailed work. I've gotten so many compliments on the tattoo. I'm very happy with the results, and am planning to work with him again on a second. Definitely recommend working with him if you get the chance."

"On Sunday I went to go see Mimi and get my tattoo as a tribute of my cousin who passed away back in August. From the moment I walked into her space I felt an instant calmness. The room was full of positive vibes. She is truly amazing. She explained what she was doing and why. Most artists just want to rush and move on to the next. But not Mimi. She cares so much and makes sure your experience is a great one. I highly recommend Mimi. I finally found my forever artist. Can't wait to go back and get another tattoo from her."
