"I always shop here for groceries since it’s the closest store to me. I was in there today and followed by their secret shopper the entire time! To the point I had to ask the actually security guard if the guy was security too. I was about to call the cops. I told management how uncomfortable it made me as a female to be followed around my entire store trip and pretty much the situation was just brushed off"
"The only time I've ever been accused of stealing in my entire life. Had a man in a "hollywood casino" jacket follow me outside with a cop and ask to see my receipt and go through my bag. Maybe because I was actually checked out quickly and left? No idea, but also no apology, either. Ironic that the highest priced groceries in the city would accuse someone ELSE of theft."
"This particular Giant Eagle is an adventure every time I go. Before entering, I'm greeted with a loud recording telling me I am safe and secure because I'm being filmed in the lot at all times, which has the opposite effect. The staff seems to always be teetering on the edge of everything going wrong, but it never seems to. This is also the only place I've ever seen a supervisor, more than once, casually strolling and handling minor issues while sipping on a monster energy drink. Like i said, constant adventure."
"Against my better judgment, I decided to shop at this location. Crime runs rampant here, both inside and outside the store. Drug addicts & people who are in need of mental health personnel are a constant at this location. You won't get free bags for your groceries, but you are assured to get someone asking you from money, cigarettes, or both. Getting in and out of the store is taking a chance as much as having the sale prices correctly appear on the shelf on the first day of new sale. The employees have gotten so accustomed to what they have to deal with that they have become impervious to their surroundings. Simply entering the store feels like a prison yard complete with lights and announcements on loud speakers regarding the 24-hour surveillance there, which is totally ignored by the people who are the problem. I know that times have changed drastically, and desperate times call for desperate measures, but no other location, to the best of my knowledge, have let their patrons endure this."
"The store has Sub standard produce, deli meats and most of the meat Dept has to offer, this is to me an obvious reflection of how people of Lower income are given Very little options for better Quality items at reasonable pricing. We shouldn't have to Drive to McKnight Road for quality products. We are blessed to have a Car many don't have this so they compromise bcuz there is no choice"
