Reviews of Extended Stay America - Philadelphia - Cherry Hill
"My husband wrote a review, but this place is so unbelievably awful that I too feel the need to reiterate just how terrible this hotel is and to warn others....DO NOT STAY HERE! It is beyond disgusting, and I'm actually only using the word "disgusting" because there is literally not a word in the dictionary to truly define the conditions. The entire place smelled so foul. From entering the front doors, and then even worse in the room. The reason they allow pets to stay there is because apparently they have pets of their own..... ROACHES. Have they ever heard of an exterminator??? As for the comfort of the room, well that didn't exist. The bed was so hard and uncomfortable that I maybe slept a total of 4 hours combined both nights, and I'm not exaggerating in the least. Breakfast, or at least that's what they say it is, was a complete and utter insult. The one morning I went out and there were a couple of packets of instant oatmeal and muffins that were partially frozen. For 2 days at $250+ that we paid, it made me physically ill. I would rather flush the money down the toilet than give money to this "company". I will not rest until we receive a refund. I have prepared a report for the BBB, and next I am taking this to the media in order to get a very serious warning to the public, because what is going on here is actually theft by deception. So please, anyone who reads this, again, DO NOT STAY HERE!"
"The Extended Stay in Cherry Hill NJ was the WORST hotel I've ever stayed at. From check-in to checkout, there was not one good thing to say about the place. First was check-in, I booked for 4 days, but when I got there they surprised me with an additional $200 added to my bill for pet fees, so I had to limit my stay to 2 days and if it wasn't late in the day already I would have gone somewhere else, but we needed to stay somewhere. Apon entering the hallway to our room, it stunk like wet dog and the carpet was filthy. Once we entered the room the smell was the same if not worse. Once I got my cats out of the carriers I went to the nearest store and purchased Lysol wipes and disinfectant spray, and wiped the room down. The only time coffee was available was 6:30-9 am, every other hotel I've ever stayed at had fresh coffee all day or had single serve machines to make a fresh cup. Also advertising "breakfast included" is really stretching the truth, half frozen muffins and oatmeal with no bowls had to make and eat out of a cup is hardly what anyone would consider breakfast. Now back to the room, the bed is the most uncomfortable thing I've ever slept in, if we didn't have our cats with us, we would have been more comfortable in the car. When I turned the air conditioner/heater on more foul odor came out, and you can tell it hasn't been cleaned in a really long time or ever. And then we show ROACHES, I went to the desk for bug spray, but they had nothing. The women who checked us in was satisfactory, but during the brief time it takes to check-in she was talking on how she couldn't wait to leave and go home. She also stated I cleaned the room myself, if so I hate to see her house. Charging $150 a night you expect better accomodations, worst hotel stay. I WARN ANYONE NOT TO STAY HERE!!! WORST HOTEL!!!!"
"First off. THEY HAVE ROACHES. The water did not get hot in the shower head. But it did in the bathroom sink. GROSS rooms. Stayed in 2 because we asked to be changed. ROACHES in BOTH rooms. Carpets in the room are disgusting. The refrigerator froze all our food. They have trash rooms on the floor and let the trash over flow to the point the entire floor smells. Stayed here multiple times in the past and 2 years ago this place was not gross. It WAS worth the cost. The staff may be friendly and courteous but that does nothing when you have a roach motel with dirty bed curtains. Bed in one room was so firm it made me cramp and I enjoy sleeping on a hard wood floor. The next rooms bed was super soft with broken springs. The list of what was bad about this stay is very long. Anyone that says positive things about this location…they are either a friend of an employee to help them out or they are so blind. It was that nasty. Never going back to that property. Do not stay here. Spend the extra $20/30 a night and stay at a cleaner place."
"I want to publicly thank staff Krysta and Julian who were working the time of my stay they made my stay carefree with there courtesy by attending to my request and all the kindness they showed me and also the manager I don’t know his name was very professional and the janitor was the friendliest always smiling and solved many issues I had during my stay they ALL quickly honored my concerns I truly enjoyed my stay so much that I’m staying another week❤️"
"Do not stay here especially if you have small children. The rooms were disgusting. No one inspecting these rooms. We found old clothes on the floor. Choke hazards (jewelry) on the floor the hardwood floors were sticky. We asked for help, someone to mop. They’re short staffed, so they make promises and do not find the time to help. We ended up cleaning our room and towels and Lysol wipes came out black. My mothers tub had a red ring (which is bacteria). I checked out early told I would get a refund, only got half refunded called the district supervisor 3xs no response. About breakfast, we were told at check in no guarantees on breakfast so go to the local Wawa “you would be better off anyway” I filed a complaint with the BBB. AVOID IF YOU CAN!"
