Worthwhile Thrift
About the Business
Worthwhile Thrift is a unique institution located at 5835 Easton Road in Plumsteadville, Pennsylvania. As a clothing store and home goods store, we offer a wide variety of items including women's, men's, and children's clothing, jewelry, accessories, books, media, housewares, décor, antiques, electronics, and vintage items. Our proceeds support Worthwhile Wear's restorative programs for survivors of human trafficking, providing vocational training and employment opportunities for women in The Well program.
At our Plumsteadville location, located next to the Giant, and our Collegeville location, near the Redner's Market, we offer daily sales and discounts for our customers. From 50% off all clothing on Mondays to special discounts for seniors, military, first responders, teachers, students, and foster/adoptive families on Tuesdays, there's always a deal to be found. We also offer a 50% discount on your entire purchase when you shop with us on your birthday!
We are currently looking for energetic individuals to join our team at both store locations, with part-time and full-time roles available. Volunteers are also welcome to help with sorting donations, displaying merchandise, and assisting at the register. By donating and shopping with us, you are making a real difference in the lives of those we support.
Donations of gently used clothing, housewares, and other items are accepted at both locations. Please consider donating in 13-gallon trash bags for clothing and small boxes for housewares. We also accept baby gear, electronics (less than 5 years old), and other items in good condition. Rusty, broken, stained, torn, or pet-damaged items cannot be accepted.
Consider hosting a donation drive in your community to collect items for Worthwhile Thrift. Sign up for our loyalty program to earn points for every purchase, which can be redeemed for discounts on future purchases. Worthwhile Thrift is a program of Worthwhile Wear, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations are tax deductible.
Join us in making a difference by shopping, donating, or volunteering at Worthwhile Thrift!

"One of my fave thrifts! Lots of great stuff. Only reason I can’t give 5 stars is because I often find nearly fully used candles, random glass yogurt containers, and dirty items for sale. Lots of hidden treasures, though! Ive found so many cute baby clothes, sweaters, toys, and home decor!"
"So glad I stopped in today while passing through the area. It’s a beautifully curated medium-size shop that is very organized by style and size. Thrilled to see a large range of plus size items too. The prices were very fair and I didn’t see any high markups for name brands or vintage pieces - a true thrift store with thrift prices and awesome sales on top of that. Loved hearing one of the employees cheerfully singing to the music. And the woman at the register was exceptionally friendly and informative. Looking forward to stopping by again."
"I have been trying to update my "work clothes wardrobe" without breaking the bank. I consistently find cute, trendy, professional AND inexpensive items at both the Plumsteadville and Collegeville locations. Shopping here is always an enjoyable experience. Store is very clean and staff is always friendly."
"First time visiting, pleasantly surprised Monday’s clothing is 1/2 off. Women’s shirts were regularly $4.99. There were 2 other color discounts. This was impressive for a small thrift. Super clean, organized & friendly staff. I will go back, also has an incentive for every $50 spent you get $5 off."
"I bought a clock here. It had no sticker on it that said "tested". I said to the young girl at the register, "I hope this works, it doesn't say, "tested." She said, "oh it works." I bought it, came home and put batteries in it and and it didn't work. I tried different batteries. I called the store and left a message about it. Ironically it was the only time that I didn't have the receipt. The girl had trouble retrieving the receipt and since I paid cash I told her to skip it. I received a call back from a Nancy. She asked me what time I was in the store, checked the register and said she could not find it, she told me I got it at 50% off and all kinds of push back. She was out to prove that I wasn't telling the truth. I said, "ok I am a liar then, I get it." Why did I expect her to say. "I am sorry that happened, there will be a credit at the store for you for $2.99?" She went through all of this conversation over $2.99, as if it were a court case that had to be proven. I couldn't believe it. Maybe there are more liars out there than I realize. I finally gave her what she wanted and said, "consider it a donation then." I will always have a negative feeling when I go in this store from now on. It was as if I was asking for a credit on $299.00. Whatever happened to, "the customer is always right?" Has humanity stooped this low that a person's integrity is always in question, even over two dollars and ninety-nine cents? It is a sad world that we live in now."
