"This place is a true scam! I had issues with not filing my taxes in my younger years. I sent the initial fee, and thinking they would proceed. They told me the fee of 800 dollars was just to obtain my transcripts. Which was something I could have done myself. They told me in order to proceed. I need to give them another $800. I felt so used, embarrassed, manipulated, and ripped off! PLEASE SEEK A REAL PRIVATE IRS ATTORNEY!"

"They charged my friend almost 400 bucks to pull fed transcripts which are free to get yourself and with a vagueness told him they could "handle" NC state too which, when pressed he ended up saying that by handle they mean they will file back tax paperwork but won't negotiate for you and it was THE STATE that sent him a letter of inquiry not the feds and he told optima that in the beginning like I said and was led on to believe they would negotiate with them so then they want over 4k to deal with the feds only and cannot guarantee at all any specific outcome but they want you to start making 595.00 monthly payments for this vagueness, I ended up calling a cpa for advice, her first advice was to NOT GIVE OPTIMA TAX ANY MORE MONEY! secondly she said you can do just as good calling the government yourself but if you want representation to call a local tax attorney not an Internet or television firm especially not optima tax!! Also check out how many lawsuits and complaints they have before you believe anything they say."
