The Swanson Science Center, located at 143 East Maiden Street in Washington, Pennsylvania, is a university institution dedicated to the physical sciences, including Physics and Chemistry. Opened in 2010, the center offers state-of-the-art wet and dry laboratories, research and classroom space, and break-out areas for students. As part of a holistic, leadership-focused experience, the institution also offers men's and women's sports programs to challenge student-athletes to excel.

At Swanson Science Center, the Ombudsperson is available to provide objective and confidential discussions about academic misconduct adjudication processes. Additionally, the Writing Center is committed to supporting students of Washington & Jefferson College in their growth as writers and empowering them to utilize their voices effectively.
