Reviews of Wynken Blynken & Nod B & B
"I stayed here because it was across the street from Juniper where my Dad was living. I stayed a week and was impressed with the great breakfast. The rooms are big and they are a good value for the cost. Don and Lynnell are warm and inviting hosts. I found Dons stories about their farm and his other jobs very interesting. I will stay here any time I visit Meadville and would recommend it to anyone else who wants friendly B+B experience."
"My family and I felt like we were going “home“ every time was a chance to go back to the bed-and-breakfast and be with the wonderful host and hostess. Their hospitality and warmth are unparalleled. The beautiful old mansion wraps its arms around you and you experience Meadville at its best. I can’t wait to go back. If I need to revisit the host and hostess!"
"Always a lovely stay and relaxing atmosphere. Sitting on the front porch last night with a book while the lightning bugs started to shine was so calming before my great night's sleep and delicious breakfast this morning. Thank you! I'll be back!"
"Very nice rooms! Very nice people! Very pleasant BUT! The couple the runs the bed and breakfast are VERY INVASIVE of ones privacy. The husband will sit with you and force you talk with him (AND ASK QUESTION AFTER QUESTION ABOUT THINGS THAT ARE NOT HIS BUSINESS). VERY ANNOYING! The wife went , in her words, snooping on the internet about me. I should have caught the red flag when the husband obnoxiously announced my profession at the breakfast table with other people there who did not know without him talking with me about it first. So if you don't mind your business being known/ loudly announced/ snooped in, then stay. If not, STAY AWAY. Here's what someone else wrote who WILL NOT STAY AGAIN! "We were dropping our child off for their freshman year of college at Allegheny. An emotional time to say the least. The host was quite overbearing at all of our breakfasts, even to the point of being simply insensitive. It was difficult and uncomfortable to enjoy our breakfast with the host literally standing over us talking and making insensitive remarks about parents crying as they dropped their students off at school. As well as making similar attempts of jokes towards the students at the table - my heart went out to the young man at the table who appeared to be seeking a way to run away from the scene. We didn't find it funny nor did the other guests there - it was awkward laughter. In talking with other folks who've stayed there we found they had the same experience. We were surprised the host takes a picture of all who stay there while they're eating breakfast. Sometimes I laugh when I think of what that picture must have looked like - I can imagine a look of surprise and horror on my face when suddenly I look up at a camera flash goes off in my face. Simply put I would never stay there again.""
"Hidden in downtown Meadville is this charming little b&b that I had driven by for years and years, but it wasn't until family decided to stay that I finally got to see this incredibly welcoming place in detail. Warm and inviting, clean and classy, with an incredibly sweet couple who own the place. Well worth the experience and the time. Lovely place, lovely experience."
