"My wife and I took a quick tour of the Inn. It's a beautiful building. Looks like it would be a wonderful place to stay. Might make a great gift for my kids."
"I can’t say anything about staying there as I have never. But I do deliver groceries there and they give unfair ratings. Even when you do exactly what is asked, you get all the product they ask for, when you communicate about certain replacements and follow their delivery instructions to a T. . this is my job and how I live and pay my bills. I am not the first person to be affected by their unfair ratings. So disappointing because while I was shopping they were super sweet and understanding of the replacements of product because the store didn’t have exactly what they wanted."
"My husband and I were on a 5-hour drive home late one September afternoon from a concert in Hershey Pennsylvania when suddenly the car dashboard lights blew up and while rapidly losing power, we had no choice but to pull off the nearest exit – 211/PA-106/N. Completely unfamiliar with the area, we contacted AAA who towed us to a garage 16 miles away to a small town called Montrose where we were told that a car part needed to be shipped in in order to fix it. We would be stranded for at least an overnight. As luck would have it, we were able to secure one of the very last available rooms in town at the Rosemont Inn Bed and Breakfast situated on a hill overlooking the town. Despite it being after hours, Innkeeper Penny Eldred and staff greeted us warmly and quickly set us up in a beautifully quaint and pleasantly decorated room. We woke up the next morning to the delightful smells of a wonderful breakfast buffet where Penny graciously shared her secret on how to keep the tasty frittata exceptionally moist. As somewhat of an emerging artist, I mentioned to Penny how beautiful the artwork displayed throughout the inn was. This prompted us to talk about art and show each other our own individual works. I felt an instant connection to Penny who took the time to sit with me and share me her vibrant, beautiful illustrations and read the story for her next children’s book while my husband checked on the timeline to get the car fixed - late afternoon. Checkout was at 10am, but Penny invited us to stay in our room as long as we needed at no extra charge since it was vacant that day. She then suggested that we take a short walk into downtown Montrose to check out the lovely boutiques, an incredible bakery, and my personal favorite - a vibrant artist co-op called “Slanted” where I purchased several beautifully made Holiday gifts. The town was so charming and every single person we met was incredibly nice, personable, and super helpful. Our car trouble misfortune turned out to be a serendipitous and surprisingly wonderful experience and we would highly recommend the Rosemont Inn and Bed & Breakfast to anyone looking for a spectacular weekend get-a-way or who just happens to breakdown along I-81 driving on the way home! "Penny and the Rosemont were an oasis for our family during a period of unexpected bereavement. They made everything easy: check-in to accommodate folks coming in at odd times from all over the country; the public gathering spaces where we came together in small groups and large; the rooms nicely appointed and very clean; and the breakfast surprisingly sumptuous for a weekday. Four generations all felt comfortable and cared for, and we remarked how we would love to take time to return under different circumstances so we can explore the adorable downtown’s boutiques and antiques, learn the town’s history and maybe do some gravel biking. Thank you for making a hard time lovely!"
"Such a beautiful, expansive yet cozy inn that just feels like a great big hug from the time you walk in the door. So grateful for Penny and Sharon for hosting our family for the weekend of my dad’s memorial. We had a great time together sharing memories and relaxing without worries. The accommodations were perfect and the innkeepers we gracious and attentive. Thank you so much! We will be back!"
