"My wife and I were looking for a weekend away in or around the beautiful town of Jim Thorpe. The Flagstaff Lodge fit the bill perfectly. Nestled in the woods five minutes just outside town, we got the best of both worlds - the shops and dining of Jim Thorpe, and the quietude of a mountain retreat. Paula (Flagstaff Owner) went above and beyond the entire weekend, and truly made our experience five star. She knows what she's doing, and it shows. We were greeted Friday evening at check-in with a bottle of wine and a tour of the property. We immediately felt at home with her easygoing personality and pleasant conversation. This set the stage for the entire weekend. We stayed in the Master Suite, which was large enough to hangout in on a rainy day. The separate soaking tub was a big hit for my wife. The many windows overlooking the woods and mountainside brought a sense of nature inside, while we stayed cozy in front of the fireplace. The kitchenette and living room were separated by an ample sized bar with pub style chairs. The interior design of suite hit the mark of a mountain lodge with live-edge wood counters and rough hewn wood trim throughout. The common area was perfect for gathering. It was cozy enough for the two of us, but it is large enough to accommodate larger groups. The custom made dining table is one of the main focal points, and the dining area opens up to a two-story sitting area with wood burning stove and more windows. We enjoyed the continental breakfast on both days we were there. Paula brought in fresh baked goods, fresh fruit, oatmeal and hard-boiled eggs. Sunday morning was a special treat - we had quiche! Paula's fresh brewed coffee was excellent! We learned that The Flagstaff Lodge partnered with a local masseuse, Barbara, which was a welcomed surprise. We enlisted her services Sunday morning for massages before we hit the road. Just like Paula, Barbara knows her profession, and takes pride in her work. The only downside was that we were not able to meet Paula's Business Partner, Anthony, as he was sick. These two knocked it out of the park with their transformation of this beautiful property. We look forward to scheduling another weekend in the near future!"
"Amazing experience! Paula & Anthony make you feel right at home. Even drove us into town so we didn’t have to worry about finding parking. Lodge is super clean and so beautiful. We will be coming back very soon! Highly recommend."
"Wow! Absolutely beautiful, from the views, the cleanliness and beautifully decorated rooms. Paula and Anthony are great hosts! Friendly and truly made you feel like home. We got stuck there in the snow and welcomed us to stay as long as possible. We will definitely be back this summer with a couple more couples."
"We stayed at the Flagstaff Lodge in December 2023. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Paula who showed us our room and filled us in on everything we needed to know about Jim Thorpe (shops, restaurants, places to visit, etc.) In the morning, we had a complimentary breakfast which was a perfect way to start the day. We stayed in the Woodland suite, which was spacious, charming, impeccably clean, and quiet. The common areas are inviting, in which, you can enjoy a drink by the fireplace while engaging in conversation with others. This lodge is unique with its modern but rustic feel that creates a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The festive decor added another level of charm and holiday cheer to the experience. It was such a cozy place to stay. We will be definitely be back the next time we visit Jim Thorpe! If you stay in Jim Thorpe, look no further for accommodations!"
"Just returned from a wonderful, relaxing weekend celebrating our Anniversary at the Flagstaff Lodge. Paula and Anthony are such warm and welcoming hosts and Paula went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. We stayed in the Master Suite which was amazing! The bed is so comfortable and with all of the windows, we felt like we were sleeping in the trees. The bathtub was so relaxing and Paula even gave me a lavender bath bomb which smelled so good! We enjoyed their delicious homemade red wine on arrival as well as a continental breakfast with fresh brewed coffee each morning. For early risers like me who need to have coffee upon waking, there is also a k-cup style coffee maker in the suite with coffee and creamers which is always so appreciated. The common areas are warm and inviting. The grounds are beautiful, especially at night with the lighting. This is also the cleanest place I have ever stayed. Pride of ownership is evident everywhere. Plan to return and bring friends!"
