"Had a 2pm appointment..they do not honor appointments…respectfully everyone is elderly who doesn’t really care about the customers..I left at3:15pm WITHOUT being seen"

"Very poor customer service and unqualified workers. Had a meeting scheduled with a professional to complete two prior year tax returns. I was told to come back yesterday to pick up the returns and pay for them. I came back and she wasn't EVEN THERE. Apparently, she e-mailed the work she was supposed to do to the manager (who seemed like she had an attitude and didn't want to do anything but heat up her lunch). After explaining to the manager what her employee told me she hands off my returns to another professional who barely knew what she was doing. She leaves her desk and after 10 minutes comes back to tell me that they can't work on my returns because they need a complete EIN. WHY WASN'T THIS EXPLAINED TO ME DURING MY FIRST MEETING? Made me waste gas and PTO to come pick up returns that were never even started on. Will never come back here."

"Do not go to this establishment. No one seems to know what they are really doing. Such a bad experience. They need to be fully updated on IRS new procedures. My husband had to do an amended return because the paperwork was done wrong the first time. After speaking with the District manager, she instructed for us to wait a month to file an amended return. She stated she was going to set him up with someone that knows what they are doing and will correct his return. After a month gone by, we called in to set up an appointment. The guy that helped us was lost, his accent was way too strong to understand. He didn't seem to understand the situation after explaining why we are back in again. After explaining several times, the guy finally somewhat understood the situation, so he proceeded to do an amended return. After weeks have gone by, my husband didn't receive a refund. I decided to call but called a different H&R Block in Clinton, MD. I explained my husband's situation. She researched and saw that the guy did not do an amended return. She stated something along the lines of " he put it in as a what if, he didn't actually do the amendment, he should have gave you something to mail in". We weren't aware that an amended return needs to be mailed in therefore, that visit in a month ago was a waste of my husband and I time. Overall, he paid this establishment for his taxes to handled by a tax "professional" but what he received was terrible customer service! The workers at the H&R Block in Temple Hills (Marlow heights shopping center) are inexperienced. He or I will never return. "I had to wait longer than expected. Only to realize another client took extra time trying to get their stuff straightened out and that ran over into my appointment time. I saw Sharlene Miller and she was cool. She deserves the 5 stars for her professionalism and I had to understand how patient she had to be in order to help the other person."
