"Lisa Guthrie was nice face to face but as soon as I left after her semi finishing my taxes becoming completely unavailable! She told me she would finish them and call me back (my appointment was in March!) Had to call over a dozen times for her to complete them and then told me to come in to sign. After I signed and payed she didn’t finalize them STILL! Had to go in and have someone actually finish them! AVOID!!"

"Stay away! That's all I can say. I'm not even saying this because of their service, the staff here is literally just too overworked to handle your business or even be able to respond to messages. That said...the service thus far has been atrocious as well. It took a full 3 weeks to get my return together from the time I submitted my documents. When I finally saw the quote for their "services" it was 60% higher than my upfront quote...so much for that "No Surprise Guarantee" you mention on your website. Honestly at this point I've been given no reason to trust the work they've done so I guess thanks for helping be organize everything I need but unless any of the issues get resolved I'll probably just be taking my business elsewhere which is really just a huge waste of time for both of us."

"I filed my taxes this year with H&R Block. After meeting with them for over 6 hours across 2 days, we finally finalized everything. We signed the document and dropped them off in the mail. 3 months later we received IRS notices stating that we owed additional taxes. After several hours on the phone with the IRS, we determine that H&R Block submitted an incorrect tax return that did not match the tax return paper copy we were handed when we left. I’ve been working on refiling for over a month now, and have requested my tax prep fees to be refunded per H&R Block’s guarantee. I’ve called, emailed, left voicemails, and I cannot get any management to respond to me. I’ve walked into this location and the people there have tried to get me in touch with local management, but again I am ignored. This is a highly unprofessional establishment, and I encourage everyone to find an alternative company to do business with. They do not communicate with you, and do not honor their guarantees posted publicly on their website."

"Had pleasant experience in the past, but lately there service has just gone worse. H&R Block has not only doubled their prices, as if they needed that, but also this particular branch service has just gone down the drain. Lisa Guthrie "helped" me prepare the taxes, but had zero interest in actually helping or solving my doubt. I was told she will help me with my stimulus payment claim, but only false promises were made. After that I was left on my own to deal with the IRS and after making several calls and emails, she doesn't want to even talk or get on phone to help me fix the issue. Half of the time their machines are down and severely short staffed. No wonder, no one wants to work here. Would recommend any other place than here."
