"Great place!! Enormous selection, supremely knowledgeable owner and a quiet, out-of-the-way location make this one of the nicest nurseries we've been to. Devoted entirely to azaleas (with some rhododendrons thrown in for good measure) it's a real gem of a place. We're lucky to have it in our area. Pay attention to the hours posted; don't just show up when it's convenient to you. It's run by just a few people (mostly one) so be considerate. Also, if you have trouble finding it, turn at the sign for Doc Waters Cidery."

"Mike White has been growing azaleas for over 30 years, learning everything he knows from his grandfather George Harding. He works from sun up to sun down all year long. Starting them from seedlings or cuttings, growing over 300 varieties. While he may not be able to warranty his plants like the big box stores ( because he doesn't have a big corporation backing him) he also doesn't mark up the prices, selling azaleas that are 3,4 years old for more than half the prices of those chains. So if you admit to drowning your plants , don't try to get one over on him, he won't trade them. But if you are looking for the most beautiful selection of azaleas on the east coast, White's Nursery is the place to go ."
