"They say H&R block is an easy way to do your taxes. I completely disagree. I made an appointment and when I arrived the person at the front told me they double-booked. I was turned away and told "We'll call you". It took 3 days to get another tax professional, and she said she'd contact me back with my return in five days, and I heard from her on day eight after I had to email/call multiple times. I have lost all trust in their ability to do my taxes when a simple appointment cannot be honored. Please DO NOT DO YOUR TAXES HERE. I was told i would have to pay $350 and ended up paying almost $400 (after a $25 discount). They ARE NOT TRANSPARENT with costs or very helpful with any service. I will never be returning and will be telling everyone to avoid this office like the plague. New edit- my return was REJECTED due to mistakes from my tax professional. Why am I paying $400 for an incorrect tax return...the circus doesn't end with H&R Block. STAY AWAY!!!"

"This location used to be good but a few people retired and or moved on. They declined to do our taxes and said they would get back to us with a different tax preparer. When we called back, they said that never happened and they had no one that could do our level of taxes. They basically said they are not competent to do anything more than a simple submission. Bad form"

"I wish I would have read the reviews about them BEFORE we took our taxes to them. With no exaggeration. H&R (York Rd Plaza) was a nightmare. I personally dropped off our taxes to this location & handed it to the front desk clerk & was told the agent assigned to our account will contact us. After 3 weeks of not hearing anything, I called H& R and was told they could not find our tax documents. Was glad I called, or we would have never known. It took them almost 2 weeks to find them. When they finally did locate them, we were told that it was assigned from one agent to another & was finally given the name of the agent who was going to handle our taxes. In an attempt to set up an in-person scheduled visit. 5 times it was a no show on H& R block, finally after hours & weeks on the phone complaining about the issue, on the 6th visit we did see an agent. She literally came across like we just woke her from sleep, like we were really putting her out. After the filing we received notice from IRS stating instead of getting back 3,000 we owed 6,000. State instead of getting back 1,000 we owe 10,000. We know it's an error, however since we've received these notices, We attempted to contact our agent via e-mail & by phone, to date we have received NO call back. Now we have to hire a qualified CPA to undue the mess of a simple return gone wild. DO NOT USE THIS ORGANIZATION. Do you due diligence on checking reviews on who you hire, it will save you a lot of stress and frustration."
