"Ruined Mothers Day!!! Ordered $150 bouquet of JUST peonies as was shown online. No other flowers were shown in the bouquet other than peonies. We even confirmed numerous times over the phone before ordering that it was ONLY GOING TO CONTAIN PEONIES. Went in to pick them up & was handed a bouquet of filler flowers & 2…count them…TWO peonies that they tried to pass off for $150. They couldn’t find the ticket for my order. Eventually found it in the already picked up pile. The person who wrote the order admitted taking my order over the phone so how it ended up incorrect is beyond me. The owner stated “florists discretion” & said it was a peony arrangement. How can a bouquet with 10 times more lilies & filler than there are peonies be considered a peony arrangement??? Wouldn’t that be a lily arrangement or a filler flower arrangement??? 2 peonies doesn’t make a bouquet. They offered to redo the arrangement however they only had a couple sad looking leftover peonies to add to it & I’d still be stuck with an overpriced bouquet of basic filler. Opted for a refund even though my children & I will be empty handed on Mother’s Day. Seems questionable that they would even pass off that bouquet as $150 worth of flowers. Only reason I went with this company instead of my usual, reliable florist (Designing Flowers) is because I wanted the specific peony bouquet shown online. Guess I know not to use Purcellville Florist ever again."
