"Loved the variety of items in the store. I was treated rudely by a sales associate. The first rudeness was directed after I questioned a discrepancy in the price posted on the sign and what the register displayed at the time of scanning. Then, the associate seemed inconvenienced by my use of an e-coupon. Finally, after paying for my purchase, I requested a gift box and was told that they no longer have them. I’m fairly certain that I witnessed another customer in front of me request and receive a gift box and tissue paper. Did that customer receive the last ones? The item I purchased was fragile, as are most of the inventory in the store. Why wasn’t my item at least wrapped in paper or other plastic bags or anything??? Was I discriminated against for seeming cheap or because my brown-skinned son was with me? Either way, it’s wrong! It makes me not want to return even though I’ve been a loyal Hallmark shopper since 2004! What’s ironic is the offending employee is a senior citizen. I’m middle-aged. There were two other associates who appeared to be in their twenties who were kind, helpful, and seemingly more professional. Who is setting the right example here??? The millennials. You’re welcome."
