"We have known Heather (and to a lesser extent Karen) for literally decades, since my children (now 21 and 24!!) were little ones at Beginnings, where they were both their teachers. Heather was also our first-choice babysitter for out of school time needs. Since then, she has become a true friend. She is just an amazing, smart, deeply caring human -- and really funny to boot! Goes without saying that she truly loves children and is just great with them, honoring their individuality, encouraging their unique developmental paths, and of course always prioritizing their safety. She is also a fantastic artist! We all love her immensely and would trust her to the ends of the earth with our kids. Anyone who goes to Book Worms is lucky to have her in their lives."

"The only reason not to send your child to this daycare is because you’ll never find another one as good as Bookworms! All other daycares have been ruined for me. Our daughter was fortunate to start at 1 year old and attend all the way to PreK. Owner Karen holds this place to the highest standards and Heather (PreK) is one of those rare teachers who leaves a lasting impression on all kids who have been fortunate to have her as their teacher. My daughter’s love of art, the Beatles, plants and nature started with Heather in PreK. Highly recommended."

"We are obsessed with bookworm! My son started in the nursery school right around 13 months old and has been flourishing over this past year. He runs into the teachers’ arms every morning, sits in their laps throughout the day, comes home happy and confident, ready to show off new skills. The staff shower him in love and affection, and it shows! I just can’t say enough great things about this place and will continue to send my child here until we move out of the city. My newest kiddo, who is not quite 1 yet, will join soon too!"

"I cannot figure out how to respond directly to Sarah’s garbage review so instead posting my own: To be clear, Ms Heather takes the children outdoors to play daily - in public green spaces. She should not even have to deal with an unleashed dog to begin with - given that there are multiple signs in the area requiring owners to control their own animals. But I’m 100% sure that if the situation arose, Ms. Heather would do everything in her power to protect the children from said unlawfully unleashed animal. I would trust her - and any other teacher at BWs - with my children and have for the last 8 years."
