"The #1 goal of Jersey college is to fill seats and make a profit. Building competent nurses is way down on the list. This "school" makes itself attractive by allowing you to enroll without prerequisites. But believe me, it will be worth it to take those classes elsewhere and use them to attend a different nursing program. Also you should consider that if you do take the prerequisite classes at JC, because of the way that they title these classes, you mostly likely won’t be able to transfer them, when/if you decide to go to a different nursing program. For example, Anatomy and Physiology is called Human Body and Human Disease— no other program will accept the credit because of this. This school is poorly structured, disorganized, money obsessed, and offers poor quality education as the result. There's a high staff turnover rate, and the facility hasn't even been opened for a year. That's a big red flag because why are deans and instructors quitting before the term is even over? I don't mind the coursework but it's the structuring of the program itself that makes you wonder is this place really developing me to become a nurse? Or are they really just cutting corners, giving the bare minimum and collecting the hundreds of the thousands they receive from tuition costs? An instructor once told us that compared to the other nursing programs that she has taught at, Jersey college is definitely watered down— what other nursing schools require education and skill wise is not the standard for Jersey college. Personally, I feel as though this school markets itself to black students[you will see what I mean if you choose to become a student] and then provides a subpar education. Students are never allowed to see their exams after they've taken them (nor are instructors allowed to go over it) which means you have no idea what parts you did well on, and what parts you need to go back and relearn/study. Which means, the same questions that you got wrong on the exam, you most likely will get wrong on the midterm and final, which could potentially lead you to failing the entire course. As a past student, I chose to leave the program and just start over elsewhere. With the way things were going, I had zero confidence that I would find success with this program. Of course, when it comes to nursing, you have to find the program that will work for you— everything is not for everyone but this program is extremely unsteady and personally, I’d consider it unsafe even. *Some clinical instructors don’t even make sure that you’re performing skills correctly.* If I can encourage just one aspiring nurse to get their RN elsewhere, then I will feel somewhat satisfied. Please, take my advice and don't make the mistake that myself and many of my classmates have found ourselves in. For your own sake, explore every possible option before settling for here."
"Administration is posting nice reviews to encourage more newcomers but, Please do NOT come to this school. The organization of this school is terribly poor! Professors and dean quit mid semester. This school administration only cares about collecting the students money! During orientation, they will sell you an image that this school is great but when you start your semester you will find that none of the lab equipments work! Their grading system is the most inefficient way of grading. There is no review for any of the classes. You just have to memorize every book. When you’re given your exam, you will only be told your grade you obtain from that exam about 10 days after you take that exam. You will not be given your exams back therefore you will never know what you got wrong in your exam. Lastly once you’re here it may be hard to transfer to another program because they rename the courses name and they may not transfer to another school. Their whole curriculum is a disservice to the students. Find any other school of nursing but this place. it’s horrible here!"
"I've been with Jersey College for a little over the year now and at our Jenkintown, PA campus for about 7 months. From the moment I joined, I felt supported and valued. Not only have I had the pleasure of working within a collaborative team, but I've had the opportunity to work alongside highly dedicated students who strive to become more confident and skilled day in and day out. I would wholeheartedly recommend Jersey College to anyone looking to advance their career."
"Jersey College is awesome! The staff really cares about your success. I am enrolled in the RN program. My learning experience is going great. Dr Scott is very helpful and she keeps everything in order. Mrs Kirby and Mrs Gibson are down to earth and very knowledgeable. Shannon and Mr Pettit are so helpful-they’re always willing to help answer any questions I have in the morning and greet me with a smile! I want to Thank Alicia also. Alicia guided me through the whole admission process-very helpful with encouraging positive attitude. Lastly, as I look forward to graduation, I’m confident that Jersey College will prepare me for a future career in nursing. On a scale 1-10, Jersey College is definitely a 10 in my book!"
