Reviews of Bucks County Technical High School
"Most freshmen act like they're still in 7th grade, they are very drama based and annoying, security will give you detention just for leaving a piece of trash on the table, one bathroom is absolutely disgusting with a stall door hanging off and food all over the place, weightroom is very mediocre. But it will benefit you in the long run since it's very good at preparing you for the future so I'd say still go anyways"
"I don’t speak for how it is now. I’m just talking at a general perspective. It’s a good school. When I went here, it took 2.5 households of yearly taxes to put just one student in this school. The budget was nearly twice of standard public high schools in the area and they certainly stretched every dollar as far as possible. Education was the main focus. There’s like 30 different shops/ majors and at least 15 of them could have you ready to roll the second you walk across the stage at graduation ready to succeed in the field of your choosing either by working for someone or through your own business. No further education required. Many of their shops also set you up for further education and many of their fields require further education in order to see large salaries. It was a fantastic school. Lot of diversity in the shops/majors of your choice. It’s a good experience. I enjoyed my time there. As time went on the budget has decreased and the school has changed. Arguably decreased in quality. But I’m sure it will trend upwards again at some point."
"With full pure honesty, the place is awesome when they are hosting car shows! You'll never know what you'll run into when you're at the car show here each year! Supra's, Hellcats, Mustangs, Lamborghini's, classics, there's always that little bit of a mix of each car guys taste. You'll never know if you'll see any imports too. When I was here for their car show last year, it almost felt like they had different sections of cars. One for imports, one for Mustang's, Vettes, any other cars. With the car show here coming up on April 22nd, I'll be sure to come on in!"
"From a student perspective, its alright. I do agree with Xile (prev review) on some things. Security tend to be edgy and annoying sometimes. the cafeteria, ppl either play with their food or eat like slobs and leaves the floor messy and disgusting almost like a Mcdonalds dining area. Parking lot is terrible during dismissal, poor traffic control and some ppl cutting off seemingly inheriting driving traits from their parents. Some kids straight up act like they still in middle school which explains the wacky stuff that happens here lol explains their maturity level. its gotten quite worse post pandemic too. And the academic classes are meh. Not much different from going to your homeschool other than ofc the tech shops. I will say it does benefit you in the long run and from 11th grade onward you can get a co op/intern job which can become your permanent full-time job after high school. And you can get certified for certain skills and programs depending on your shop. So yea if you can put up with the cons like how I somehow did the last few years, tech is a great opportunity to find a career path if you want to get into a good trade field like construction or medical, other than that, not really much."
