"Definitely worth it! Came here for the obvious (pupusas) and had some platanos fritos. I had the pupusa loca which had beans, pork, cheese with loroco and ayote (squash). Been in that area before and was disappointed at some other Salvadoran joint up the street from this place. The ladies there are super nice and it’s pretty spacious in there. When I was there, people were ordering soups and it looked delicious. Will definitely be back when I’m in the area."
"This is a great El Salvadoran restaurant. Everything is authentic & delicious! Try it! It is not Mexican. So don’t come here looking for an ACP. Come ready to awaken your palate & walk out feeling very satisfied."
"TL:DR Food is a solid 4, but the environment was not a a pleasant one for me (could have just been unlucky), so overall review is a 3 from me. If you go I suggest just grabbing take out. I've driven past this place many times and always wanted to give it a try since I love Pupusas. Going in I had no clue what to do so I just walked up and read the menu off the wall. Eventually a worker came up to me and helped me which I appreciated. I decided to dine in and ordered a horchata, 2 Pupusas (1 Bean and Cheese and 1 Ayote) and Costilla Asada (Grill Beef Ribs). The food came out relatively fast about 15-20 minutes. Food: The horchata was good, a bit thicker than what I am use too, but the flavor was delightful. The 2 Pupusas were really good, my favorite was definitely the Ayote one. As for the Costilla Asada I thought it was good, but for the price of 17$ I expected more than just 2 grilled beef ribs. There was plenty of other things that came with the beef ribs, but since it was mainly carbs, towards the end I was just eating just rice, beans and tortilla. Service: As for the service, it was great when I came in, since someone helped me, and there was someone cleaning the floors so I had the image this place was relatively clean. What bothered me was that as I was eating, they were just mopping in front of my table throughout most of the meal so as I was eating the food, I only smelled their cleaning chemicals which was not pleasant. In addition as I was done with my meal, no one came to help, so I just walked over to the cash register to pay (while this bothered me, since this was my first time here and there were just 4 staff members looking at me as I just walk towards the cash register, it could just be how they ran the business). As I got to the cash register one of the staff members helped me which I appreciated, but then they asked what I ordered. They didn't really know english so it was hard to describe what I ordered, besides pointing to the table I sat at, and trying to pronounce the dishes. Eventually one of the other staff members sitting down told them what I ordered. Which I thought was unusual since if I ordered shouldn't there be a note or ticket of what I got. So I would give their service about a 2.5 or 3 since the place was relatively empty, and it felt like they just serviced me till I ordered then I was on my own. Overall: For the food I would give it a solid 4, so if you decide to dine here, I highly recommend getting only take out. Since I was not a fan of the cleaning chemicals and service towards the end and would have had a more enjoyable time just eating in my car."
"AMAZING Salvadoran restaurant that cooks up the best pupusas i've ever had and is an incredible way to start (or end!!) your day. Really hoping to bring more visibility/awareness to this incredible restaurant because their food is very authentic, unique, and delicious! Pupusas are a food that is native to El Salvador & is a super thick corn tortillas/flatbread-like that are stuffed with all kinds of things :) The two that I have found most typical at Salvadoran joints (but La Fe does them the best!) are Pupusa Revuelta and Pupusa Loroco. Both come stuffeddd with cheese and are very rich. The revuelta is for the meat eater in you as it is packed with shredded pork and the loroco is for the veggie lover in you as loroco is a type of plant thats similar to squash blossoms. They come with a side of curtido (Cabbage Slaw) that is acidic, tangy, spicy and herbaceous as it pairs perfectly with the rich & fatty pupusas. I've also tried the chicken tamales and chorizo tacos and they were very delicious as well! One of the most underrated things about restaurants is artwork & La Fe has some of the most beautiful paintings I've ever seen! I always sit in front of the El Salvador map that divides the countries into different regions, daydreaming about one day going there :) They have a very extensive menu and I am looking forward to trying their various breakfast plates, as well as the Pescado Frito. 5 stars all around for this amazing place!!"
