Reviews of Maryland Symphony Orchestra
"Great night. Comfy seats for a theatre and a beautiful interior"
"This orchestra plays with precision and nuance and joy. I’ve heard some of the best—the Cleveland with George Czell; Leonard Bernstein, Sergi Ozawa, The Philadelphia, San Francisco and LA symphonies—and I love this Maryland symphony most. The music reminds me of spring, fresh, new, full of energy and life while all too aware of the darkness of winter and death. Its conductor, Elizabeth Schulz, is amazing. So are the musicians, many young and female. I would like to add that the person who complained about “communists” requiring face masks should go live in Russia for awhile to experience what it’s really like to have no say in its government, no free press, no freedom of assembly. And perhaps the complainer should heed that the Sunday audience was way older than 50 and most vulnerable to infectious diseases. I felt safe today. Thank you."
"Under the proven expert baton of Maestro Elizabeth Schulze, this amazing orchestra will repeatedly produce "awes", and bring you to your feet! You will be truly amazed."
"Exceptional music in a beautiful hall. Always a first class experience."
