About the Business

Oshun Family Center, located at 505 Old York Road in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, is a health institution that provides racially concordant care to members of the Black community. Specializing in psychotherapy and holistic healing, including doula and lactation support, Oshun Family Center aims to help individuals achieve optimal wellness and break generational cycles. The center envisions health equity across reproductive and mental health, offering services such as mental health evaluations for IVF and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders treatment. Therapists at Oshun Family Center are trained in various modalities of healing, including herbalism, acupuncture, massage therapy, and yoga. In response to the racial trauma impacting the Black community, the center launched a fundraiser to support mental health initiatives and has raised over $100k to date. The Maternal Wellness Village, a collective of Black birth workers, serves Philadelphia and beyond with expertise in maternal health. With a focus on providing culturally competent care, Oshun Family Center is dedicated to creating a welcoming space for healing and refuge for the Black community.
