"I discovered this music school through a Google search, and it turns out I feel quite fortunate to have found it. The owner's teaching philosophy of breaking down barriers for children in music education left a strong impression on me. This is particularly important to me as my kids have mild autism, and I've been seeking a teacher who possesses patience and understanding for children with special needs. The owner recommended Mr. Joe, who has valuable experience working with special needs children. As a parent, I have a deep appreciation for Mr. Joe because he genuinely observes and understands the kids, takes note of their interests and weaknesses, listens to the parents' expectations, and tailors the classes based on this valuable information. He employs various techniques to keep the children engaged in the learning process, igniting their interest in learning and effectively guiding them to listen and follow his lead. His approach has proven to be highly effective for my special needs kids, and I believe it can benefit all children, as kids naturally enjoy learning from engaging and fun individuals. "My daughter has been attending Breaking Barrier School of Music for about 9 months. She began as a brand new student of piano, and instantly hit it off with her teacher (Michelle- she is the best!!). From my very first contact with Nic (the awesome owner), the level of customer service was outstanding. He is very thorough and prompt with communications, and so helpful and accommodating to our many schedule changes. As my daughter’s teacher, ‘Miss’ Michelle is patient, encouraging, positive and (maybe best if all!) makes it fun! She has brought my daughter so much further than I could have imagined in such a short time, and my daughter LOVES coming. All of my observations of, and interactions with ALL of the staff, and the owner himself, have been positive and rewarding. I watch and listen to all of these amazing teachers sharing their knowledge of music with their students, and I am always impressed with their patience and professionalism. "My kids have been interested in taking music lessons. So after doing some research I contacted Breaking the Barrier and spoke with Nic. He was so friendly, calm and welcoming over the phone. We set up a music class where my son was able to try multiple instruments to see which he would prefer to learn for his music lesson. My son chose guitar and my daughter chose piano. The instructors are friendly and have a very patient demeanor. The owners Nic and Courtney are really easy to talk to. I am truly thankful that my kids will be here for music lessons in the fall and foreseeable future!
