Reviews of Lehigh Valley Academy Regional Charter School
"I have a child in the 4-6 building. I’m not going to say it’s an amazing flawless school however I will admit that Mrs. Kraft is wonderful and truly cares, Mr. Raeford (the principal) seems great and Mrs. Giammona is absolutely amazing! And even though my child has had a few bumps along the way with settling in I now feel content with my child attending LVA. But please note that there is a lot of bullying amongst the students and the school staff has a major lack of communication, most times I would only get information from my child and never the appropriate school personnel and when I would ask the school about it they always said the same thing “oh I’m sorry someone should have called you” or “I apologize I meant to call you” every time."
"As parents, we have been impressed with LVA's curriculum. Our child has been attending over 4 years and we have been very pleased. Some may find LVA demanding with homework however, it helps to prepare students for higher education. LVA did exceptional during the pandemic with their 100% online learning."
"You know what I notice from all these reviews? Pretty much all of the 1 star reviews are from posters who have only 1 review under their name. Know what that means, kids? Bots. Some sad person loosed a silly bot on this review board. Well, take it from me. I've got a lot of reviews under my belt. I think the school is amazing. I think that there are plenty of public schools that will pass your kid along and your kid will think that it's awesome to never try. I think that if you want to learn 2 languages, collaborate with smart people on in-depth research projects, learn advanced subjects and step foot on a college campus with many college credits already earned and ready for a sophomore level or higher, then get in line. The wait list is insane for a reason. I invite parents to make an attempt and if you're lucky, your kid will get a chance to attend."
"This school is a shining example of why charter schools are worthless. The best thing I ever did for my kids was to pull them out of this terrible school and move them into public school. Any school dumb enough to say something like "We don't need to offer your gifted daughter any enrichment, gifted is built into our curriculum" is not worth bothering with. Some of the teachers seemed to care, but the administrative staff in the elementary school were nothing but problems for both of my kids."
"I am as well shocked to see those one star reviews, however I can speak from experience. My first daughter graduated with honors from LVA and all I can say is Thank You LVA teachers! It wasn’t easy because two of my children didn’t start in LVA and they had To adapt to a new school, new rules and academic level but throughout all that there was support. I had my 2 younger daughters start in LVA, it can be challenging at times because the academic level is great and with that comes a whole lot of homework and projects. But this is the education I want and I choose to have for my children, I know and I heard many kids complaint about how strict this school is and that they don’t like many things all I can say is hang in there it is all worth it. At the end of the day it works both ways, if you are respectful and do what you need to do in school it will be just fine."
