Reviews of Lohr Woodworking
"I took the Practical Woodworking Class between my 3rd and 4th years of college in 2006. I still have my hall table, and I've been making furniture professionally for over 10 years. The things I learned from Jeff have been foundational to how I approach my work. I look back on that week fondly and consider it to be the bedrock of my knowledge and passion."
"It's been a couple of weeks since I finished the Practical Woodworking course and I can't say enough about the experience. It was an intense and extremely rewarding week and well worth the cost. As I was going through the week, I was almost always behind while we learned the next step. But in the end, I left with a finished table that I'm very proud of. Rob, Larissa and Annalise are very talented woodworkers and instructors. If you're on the fence, all I can say is it will be worth it. You will never look at a piece of furniture, or yourself, the same way again."
"Not sure what else I can say that others haven't previously. I loved the time I spent here during the week long Practical Woodworking Course. Every evening I looked forward to the next day, getting to the shop and honing newfound skills. Larissa, Rob, Anneliese, and Jeff were all a delight to learn from. They are detailed and very open for any sort of question you may have. The way the impart their knowledge is very structured, but you're encouraged to design the pieces in your own way. I'll be back, and likely multiple times for their advances courses as I practice more at home."
"My experience taking the Practical Woodworking course was absolutely beyond my expectations. The instructors were professional yet personable; and they really took the time make sure everyone (no matter their woodworking knowledge) understood fundamentals like safety and efficiency. This course can really offer so much wonderful knowledge to anyone and everyone. Whether you have just begun building out your home garage or have had a workshop going for a while you will not be disappointed!"
"A week ago I spent 6 days participating in the Practical Woodworking course. As an "experienced" woodworker, I thought I would know everything they might teach me. I was really taking the class to fulfill the prerequisite for their more advanced courses. But I must say, the Practical Woodworking course was superb! I learned more than I could have ever imagined. They taught me so much I never knew and I learned that what I thought was right was actually wrong. I highly recommend this course for anyone new to woodworking and for those with years of experience learning on their own and from YouTube. The instructors were professional, patient, extremely knowledgeable and truly master craftsmen, craftswomen, and artists. They are hands-on and always there to help. It was truly the best investment I could have ever made to learn about the craft of woodworking."
