"I have been going to this practice for the past 7 years as it has always been convenient for me in location. I started seeing a different psychiatrist than I had before there, Dr. Senyk, nearly a year ago. I have had a great amount of success and progress with her. She is highly professional and cautious in regards to prescribing medications. She sincerely cares about the safety, well-being, and feelings of her patients. I feel she listens and greatly considers your input in every treatment decision she makes. She makes sure you are comfortable with any changes she is considering. She does not just throw scripts at you and kick you out of her office like I have experienced before. She gets to know about you and your life on a personal level with genuine interest. I have seen psychiatrists in the past before who let you have too much control of medications and will over-prescribe controlled substances. If you are a pill-seeker or believe you know what’s best for you without an educational background in psychiatry, you will probably not be happy. I feel like that is the basis for many of these poor reviews, especially in this privileged area. They have the utmost professional standards and are ethically grounded. While I think they need some changes in accessibility in regards to speaking directly to staff and scheduling appointments, Dr. Senyk and my therapist, Catherine, are the best, most personable professionals I have seen."
"This review is simply for the woman who answers the phone. Her phone etiquette is awful, including her tone. She should be fired. I unfortunately did not end up as far as making a appointment because of the terrible first impression I received over the phone. I answer the phone at my job, and phone etiquette is something I practice, given it is the first impression for new clients. Left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I will be looking else where. I also called the previous day, no one answered so I left a voicemail and no one bothered to call a NEW client back. When I told the woman on the phone she told be she never received a voicemail and that I called their other location. NO I DID NOT. Admit your wrong instead of blaming a NEW client for your laziness."
"Attempting to get a hold of them is a complete nightmare, every time I call the front desk to attempt to make an appointment it goes to voicemail, leaving messages are pointless as they never get back to you. My therapist is amazing but Dr. Senyk is cold and uncaring about your feelings and belittles you, not caring about your own opinions on the medication you have and if you attempt to try to talk to her about anything else she will tell you to go see someone else. The only reason I will go is for my therapy but I will take my psychiatric needs elsewhere."
"You would think that an office that deals with mental health issues would minimize the amount of stress it causes its patients, but this is not the case. Not. At. All. It is nearly impossible to speak to a live person at the desk if you have any questions because all calls must navigate through a frustrating maze of prerecorded messages. The ladies at this office rarely call you back, and most concerns have to wait until the day of your appointment to get anything across. I have serious issues with Dr. Senyk especially. She is nearly impossible to reach because she does not have a voicemail extension unlike the rest of the staff, and she does not have an email for asinine reasons I will not disclose. The way she treats you is impersonal, cold and cookie-cutter, like she is following a textbook or manual on the "proper" way to medicate a patient. She does not listen to your concerns and only prescribes "default" medications that she believes work regardless of your specific needs. I like the therapists at this location, but the front desk and Dr. Senyk need to step up their game and handle their jobs more professionally. This office is not just some general doctor's office. Your patients have mental health concerns, and subjecting them to humiliation, frustration and self-doubt is causing more harm than good."
"I had an extremely bad experience with Dr Senyk and would advise anyone looking for a doctor with compassion to look elsewhere. Without going into depth with my diagnosis, she was a part of a treatment plan for me and when I stated that I was uncomfortable with it she shut me down and expressed her disinterest in working with me. I would warn people that there is a reason why Dr Hartman is booked and she is easy to get appointments with. She marched out of her office and left me sobbing behind her in what felt like a walk of shame. She had no desire to learn more about why I was uncomfortable with her treatment plan nor was she interested in working with me and helping me feel comfortable with the treatment plan. I've been a mental health patient for a long time and I have never been treated so coldly."
