"I was hesitant to visit this doctor because the reviews are all over the place. It appears that those who wrote experienced one extreme or the other. However I had a positive experience for my pregnancy. I didn't wait long for my appointments. Every so often they were running late but that happens. Fortunately I never experienced issues with billing and the all doctors as well as the nurses were great. Dr. Carolyn Wood in particular is amazing. The only doctor I was not a fan of was Dr. Stacy Lexow because she lacked empathy."
"I went in for an appointment that I literally had to wait 3 months for .....I've had several complications in. between that time that caused me to present to the emergency room..I changed my insurance ..provided the women on the phone with my information . Once I arrive to the office the receptionist informed they dont accept my insurance . But if I switched my insurance I could be serviced in the future ..and didnt even offer to still see me and just bill me so I could send it to my insurance after the switch ...just have me back my card and basically told me to get on .I've been going here for 10 years this place is the Pitts..never going back !"
"I really liked it here. I had to change from a place I loved due to insurance. I saw Rachel Tierney and she was fantastic. She listens very well to what you need and rather than blowing you off with opinion and suggestions that dont fit your needs, she works to figure out how to best help you. Shes compassionate and caring. Very comfortable here. It was also very quick and easy check in and check out and I was seen on time!"
"I’ve been going to this office for more than 10 years. I love Dr Woods... she was my Dr when she was Dr Zimmerman but that’s not what this review and rating is about. It’s sad because I’ve never had an issue but because my experience today upset me so much I felt the need to address the issue. I’m writing reviews wherever I can and waiting for the next business day to complete an official complaint. When I entered the office a receptionist with a jacket and purse in her hand asked me for my name, insurance information and an id. No formal greeting no orther directions. So I gave her the requested information and said, “I guess I should just take a seat now?” She said, “Oh yeah.” I took a seat and waited for about 20 minutes. This isn’t such a big deal because I’ve waited long in so many doctors’ offices before. It wasn’t a problem until the lady and her mother arrived 10 minutes after me and told the receptionist that they couldn’t wait long. They were called first to be weighed and seen. I then went to the receptionist and asked why were they called before me when I was waiting for over 20 minutes. The “dumb found” woman at the window said, “I don’t know.” I asked her to find out. She returned stating that there was an issue with my name... what name; the name I’ve had for the last 15 years!!!??? I’m getting upset just typing this!! She said yes. I said so why didn’t someone call me back to the window to ask about my name and address it prior to me voluntarily coming to the window. They just forgot about me and preceeded with calling the lady and her mother because they didn’t want to wait long as they stated. If I continued to sit patiently they would have called others before me when I was next. The office staff really SUCKED today... they messed up!!! They insisted on changing my name without my permission when my name was my name on all my Abington and Jefferson documents. Who do they think they are... I’ll tell you; a bunch of unprofessional women trying to assume power!!! I’m angry!!!!!"
"The practice as a whole is just ok. My biggest complaint is the office policies. Majority of the ladies are so nice and helpful. However this practice will NOT call you if there are severe schedule delays. There is always a wait, always. Go early, on time it does not matter. Getting off from work to make appointments was a challenge for me but the one appointment in particular when I arrived was an hr and a half at minum delayed with no other information! Pretty unacceptable and the grump at the front had the nerve to have an attitude with me and question my schedule availbility when I told her I needed to cancel because the wait was unreasonable, patients should have been notified of such severe delay and most of us are working moms and cannot afford such unexpected time investments. Also billing is massaged in my opinion. Example: if you need to do fetal diagnostic they will say you need to go twice weekly when you CAN go once a week. That is huge! If I did not speak up it would have cost me about $500 a week in copays rather than $0 (I have Aetna) and a chunk of PTO from work. I will say clinically they are amazing and nothing short of. I mean off the charts. Dr Wood is an absolute rockstar! She delivered my son and it was amazing to have her. A true privilege. Dr Maloney is very comfortable to see. He induced me and eventhough I was with him into the wee hrs of the morning never once shorted me an answer or courtesy. A true vet! I also saw him for my post partum visit and I say comfortable because his bedside manner was very comforting and reassuring because I was terrified and post partum he was easy to talk to as it is a lot of mental health follow up. I am ready to deliver any day with my 2nd child and am eager who we will end up with but not worried in the least. Also the high risk team they use is aces. I absolutely love Dr Crapparo. Dr Smith is new to the team he is very nice but Dr Crapparo is my favorite!"
