Dr. Edward F Caruso

"I use we in this review a lot because it was family and friends that were listening to what was going on. I can share my disease with who I trust, he had no right.(HIPPA) I am a University Professor. We have Mr. Caruso's voicemail. Completely Bias HIPPA Violation Hippocratic oath violations: In the oath, the physician pledges to prescribe only beneficial treatments, according to his abilities and judgment; to refrain from causing harm or hurt; and to live an exemplary personal and professional life. Mr. Edward F Caruso felt the need to tell certain individuals that I was seeking his help with my opiate addiction. (HIPPA Violation) Mr. Edward F Caruso prescribes addicts on methadone addictive benzodiazepines. A patient took all of a 1-month prescription(70 1mg Klonopin) in 4 days and then Mr. Caruso prescribes that same patient a stronger medication(Xanax) before the month is even over. When he was told by people that see this patient using illegal drugs such as cocaine, meth, crack, illegally obtained Benzodiazepines he told each of us, to basically shut up and leave me alone, and I will not help you with your disease, which is extremely bias. Just because I confided in him on the well being of a patient of his he refuses to help me with my disease. What moral principles(ethics) are this man operating under. He was the rudest man we had ever experienced. I am a University Professor, I became addicted to pain medication when I had an old football injury. We are in such shock of the ignorance of this man and now we come to find out that he is telling the patient, which whom had to be pulled out of a crack house the day before we contacted him, that I came to him for treatment. That's a violation of HIPAA. I spoke to him and asked kindly in confidence for help, I didn't expect for him to tell people about me seeking his treatment. I am a Professor. That can really hurt my reputation, possibly my job. Isn't this why HIPAA was put into place, to begin with(Patient Privacy)? To protect the privacy of patients. We and our families are in complete disbelief. This "Doctor" is ruining lives and is completely rude, bias, ignorant. What kind of doctor doesn't listen to a concerned family and friends? And then refuses to help me because we brought this to his attention. Stay away from him!!!! We are dedicated to get this Dr. Pill Pushers way of doing things out to the public to keep people from being harmed by his over prescribing of addictive, deadly medications."
