Reviews of PM Pediatric Urgent Care
"Great staff! Love having Dr. Cook! He’s so knowledgeable and had patience for my children and me with all my mom filled questions! He advised me to get an otoscope, showed me what my son’s ears looked like perfectly healthy. Two weeks later, I took a look at my son’s ears because he’s been tugging at them and made a doctor’s appointment immediately, to find he has a double ear infection. Don’t get me wrong, this place is clean and staff are pleasant but the timing sucks! I was there for 4 hours. In the end, I felt like it was all worth it because I received all the information I needed plus more! Now I didn’t need to go to the urgent care today, I simply made a doctors appointment for the doctor to tell me he had an ear infection, which I knew for a fact! Thanks to Dr. Cook. Even though there’s a wait, next urgent care visit, I’ll gladly wait to be seen as long as it’s Dr. Cook. I look forward to learning every time! My kids call me Dr. Mom now lol The center should definitely consider more than one doctor a day. I’m sure he could use the help."
"I honestly wouldn't even give this place a star if it was an option. I don't normally write reviews but I was completely disgusted with the lack of costumer service and empathy. I walked in last night at 1040 mind you this location closes at 12. My son was in a lot of pain due to an ear infection first of all the doors were already locked which I was confused being that it wasn't even 11pm and again your open until 12am, and the nurse at the front desk buzzed us in to only tell me that they are no longer seeing any new registration patients. When I asked why because again it's not even 11 yet I was told the wait was too long. I turned around and only seen 2 other children waiting. Which tells me you were more concerned about getting out on time then helping a sick child disgusting. So when I asked her where should I go or what I could do she stared at me and said nothing. I have never been so disgusted in my life he's 6 and clearly in a lot of pain, and this place main focus was turning sick children down an hour and fifteen minutes before your closing time so they could leave at exactly 12. Appalling"
"This is my go-to urgent care when one of my five are sick. I brought my daughter (age 7) there tonight and even though she begged me to just go back home because she didn’t want to wait two hours, we stayed and I’m so happy we did. I assumed my daughter had the stomach bug that seems to be going around but I was wrong. Dr. Cook was our doctor and after doing his exam on my daughter and chatting with the both of us, he asked if it would be okay to run a strep test (in addition to others). I felt bad because while my daughter has had strep before, it wasn’t something I considered as she didn’t complain of a sore throat. Dr. Cook explained that strep doesn’t always present with a sore throat but it’s rampant this year. I gave him the okay to do the test and unsurprisingly (in retrospect, she HAS been saying things tasted funny when she swallowed but again, no pain) it came back positive. I appreciate the way Dr. Cook not only spent the time to explain things to me but he listened to my daughter AND me. I felt supported as a parent and I’m grateful that we weren’t rushed out of there. Did the two hour wait suck? Yes. Would I do it all again if I knew Dr. Cook was our doctor? Yes. With five children, I’ve been to this urgent care several times since it opened and while we’ve never had a bad experience with any of the doctors there, Dr. Cook is by far my favorite. I’m glad he asked to test for strep even though my daughter wasn’t complaining at ALL of a sore throat. Now she’s on antibiotics and I can rest easy."
"Incredibly slow, even with an appointment my son was not seen for 1.5 hours upon arriving. Many other families had been waiting just about 2 hours also with appointments. Only one doctor staffed. I understand getting busy, but I had only been one of 3 families there at the time, all of which also had appointments running late. Should not allow appointments if there is only one doctor and they can not stick to at least some type of schedule. It’s cold and flu season, they should anticipate a higher volume especially of walk-ins and plan accordingly. Dr. Cook himself was great and very knowledgeable and helpful."
"This was my first time visiting. There is a girl who works in the front her name is Patrice. She is so nice and very sweet, she had such a nice aura about her. I took my son and Sarah who was the nurse was able to take his temp and check his blood pressure. She was so nice and patient with my son I told her how he was afraid of doctors, she knew exactly what to do to make my son relaxed. The doctor was amazing he was very patient with my son, he took his time talk to my son to get him to feel safe and comfortable. Over all experience was 5 star highly recommend this location everyone there was really sweet and welcoming!"
