"I have watched Dr. McLaren take care of thousands of women, always putting her patients first above herself even when it does not suit her health, needs, family, or time. She is my gynecologist and if there was not a familial tie with her I would absolutely have her deliver my child. Her knowledge of midwifery is so vast and she pays such close attetion to detail and women's needs that I wouldnt trust anyone else as I would her. The wonderful women who have had the pleasure of Dr. Andrea McLaren's participation in the birth of their child/children know exactly what I mean!"

"I wish I could give zero stars. Unfortunately I had been a patient here for 7 years as an annual formality. I was only seen once by Andrea Mcclaren, at my very first appointment. It was awful experience after awful experience, never have I had a pleasant moment dealing with this office. Numerous times I have gone to the pharmacy and my RX was not ordered by the “doctor,” so it was unable to be refilled. When I finally moved away, I called to have my medical records faxed and was never emailed the release form as promised. I was told my RX would be filled until I had my appointment with the new provider. When I went to pick it up the RX was never ordered by Pocono Midwives. The pharmacy told me they sent THREE requests for a refill but never heard back from Pocono Midwives. The front office lady who’s name escapes me is always extremely rude and inconsiderate in person and on the phone. I am currently the only office coordinator/personnel at a mid sized clinic in Harrisburg so I more than understand how these things work and this is completely unacceptable and unheard of. Never in my life would I recommend this place to anyone for anything."

"My daughter chose to have a midwife after the loss if her son. I must say the care she received was 2nd to none. When we had emergency situations the Dr would call back no matter what time it was. Even when she was dealing with her own grandmother being ill, she made sure that my daughter was well. Till this day, we still have a relationship with her and wouldn't trade her."

"I would not recommend this office. Some people may look into midwifery care to try and find a different birth experience and this place is not the solution. This office seems to view pregnancy as a medical event, not a natural one. I constantly had a difficult time with the staff. When there were tests or ultrasounds and I needed the results, I could never get any information or call backs. Even in emergency situations, I would have to wait a month+ for my next appointment to know the results. It was very frustrating. Eventually, I switched care providers in my late pregnancy and I am so relieved."
