Reviews of St. Luke's Center for Diabetes & Endocrinology - Bethlehem
"The Adult side of st Luke’s endocrinology is horrible. My son can no longer see Dr Abrams who was amazing!! She referred him to another Doctor on the Adult side who cancelled his appointments 3 times before he saw her. He actually had to go back to Dr Abrams so prescriptions could be refilled at the Pharmacy. Now he lost his state insurance and our primary insurance will only cover novolog, the pharmacy has for the last 3 days tried call multiple times to ask if he could be on novolog and to get a prescription sent over for it. They haven’t heard anything back. He is down to 1 vial, he changes his pump every other day so if the doctor don’t get back to the pharmacy soon he will be out of meds. This shouldn’t be difficult for the doctors when there patients need these meds to survive!!"
"St. Luke’s Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology is an office filled with kind caring people. They go above and beyond in the care department. The really great part is they follow you and your progress to assure your better health."
"The office is not great at getting prior authorizations processed quickly or calling patients back. They will tell you they sent everything to the insurance company when they know they left test results blank. It's not good when those test results are needed to see if the medicine is safe for the patient. Dr. Abrams is great, but I don't have the time needed to micromanage her office staff. Unfortunately, Coordinated Health only sees adult patients and Lehigh Valley doesn't sound any better."
"The one star is only for Leigh Anne. She has always been supportive and helpful with my husband. Unfortunately the nursing staff and phone system there are much to be desired. So very hard to get in touch with anyone and when you do they are not competent enough to follow simple instructions given on the message. Then won’t even acknowledge that it was there mistake. These people who are working in the medical profession don’t seem to even care about their patients. When you call and leave a message first thing in the morning and never get a response and it now almost closing time not the way a patient should be treated."
"I never felt an ignored patient until St.Luke's moved his office to Center Valley the Center for Diabetes & Endocrinology. It takes them usually 2-3 days to respond for prescription request and that's not the worst. Last time I was calling over a week between leaving messages in the St.Lukes Center and checking my local Pharmacy. The office staff will never take care my request correctly. Finally when I got hold someone I was told I need schedule an appointment which is fine and understanding but could be done at first place. It's very unprofessional and I still don't have medication issue solved for my son because office person hang up on me after my frustrations. I do recommend doctor in this office but until something is improved with his office staff I wont.- Mother of special needs child."
