"I am a member of Lifetime fitness and i frequent the Ardmore location. I saw a poster advertising Dr Phil’s Chiropractic services and decided to give him a try. I am a lifelong runner previously participating in multiple Broad Street runs, Philly half marathons, Rock and Roll half marathons, and the Philly Marathon. I have herniated discs in my cervical spine and lumbar spine that have halted my running. In 2018, I was also diagnosed with breast ca that has been treated and currently I am a 4 year survivor. Having had chemo, reconstructive surgery, and radiation, my body had been through it! I’ve been trying to get back to running but my back and neck pain have stopped me. I’ve gone to other chiropractors who have helped but could never tell me the how to prevent getting hurt besides the normal-“ just take it slow” advise. Chemo causes muscle atrophy and i have lost much of my muscle strength and tone and even though i would “take it slow”, i continued to get hurt. I decided to give Dr Phil a try- he’s at the gym anyway- at least he’s convenient. He showed me what i was doing that prevented my fitness progress and even has me lifting weights - something I had given up on because i always got hurt with the the lightest weights. He not only taught me what exercises i needed to do to regain my strength and avoid injury but he ensures my back is aligned and free of the knots in my neck and low back that have plagued me for over 10 years! I love Dr Phils customized and personal approach that has restored movement to my hips, back and neck. I am lifting now without getting injured, and planning to do the Broad Street run this year for the first time in 10 years! This man has saved my life!!! I am currently implementing his customized workout plan for me and I am getting stronger by the day! It’s actually working! Finally a chiro who has put a treatment plan together for me that includes understanding why I get hurt and what i need to do to get strong and healthy again- not just “cracking my back” until my next injury. . "I was very pleased with the level of detail, knowledge, and professionalism that went into my sessions with Dr. Phil. He made sure to listen to my issue, walk with me through my normal routine and offer recommendations to help alleviate the pain I was experiencing. His recommendations coupled with the adjustments I received did just the trick and I was able to target those areas that were experiencing pain more confidently until the pain eventually faded. He is also personable which only enhances the experience further. Overall great guy to work with!"
"I went to Dr. Luu to address specific challenges I was facing in my lifting (mobility issues, instability issues, etc.). Each visit, he took his time to assess my current ability and devise a plan of action to help me get to where I wanted to be. He’s very hands on and made sure I knew how to properly do the exercises and how to modify them as needed. My body and joints thank him! The exercises have helped me make huge strides in my lifting."
"I initially came to Dr. Luu to relieve lower back pain after competing in my first Ironman competition. I had never worked with a chiropractor before and was immediately impressed with his process. He was very comprehensive and I learned most of the preconceived notions I had about back pain were incorrect. Dr. Luu crafted a comprehensive plan utilizing multiple movements and exercises to increase strength and mobility. We also discussed ways to improve nutrition, sleep, strength training and cardio. "I started seeing Phil in March due to sciatic-like nerve pain that was hindering my workouts and negatively impacting my sleep. I was in pain, experiencing numbness and sometimes walking with a limp while struggling to get through the day due to fatigue. Phil designed a program to rehab my nerve pain, strengthen my entire body and retrain my brain to respond differently when pain arises. Once we got past the rehab stage he simply asked “what are your goals?” Phil designed a new program that helped me achieve my goals of reducing overall fat and sculpting my glutes and legs. He even advised me on nutrition to supplement goal achievement. Phil clearly explains what is happening within your body, why we do various exercises to correct issues and how to do them properly. As a bi-product of our work together, I’ve also seen a regulation of my hormones which are impacted by a metabolic disorder. All in all I feel healthier than ever before.
