"This is more like a prison that provides medical care than a hospital. No visitation hours, can’t freely speak with your family or regular healthcare team. The hospital itself is filthy and basic needs (food, water, clothing, etc) are not met for inpatients. They don’t care about patients getting healthier, they just want you to stay as long as possible so they make more money. Unless this is your only option, do not go here for healthcare or rehab."
"The facility is nice and in a peaceful setting. The staff is a different story. The techs do their job. However I had to watch a COUNCILOR, A TRAINED PROFESSIONAL yell at HER patient who was going through detox "Than just leave 'name of patient.' You always say you're going to do it, so just do it!!!" And he did..... At 10 pm at night, with no working cell phone, in the middle of nowhere.... because she threw him out like everyone else in his life. This display of professional ignorance and giving him a death sentence (in my opinion) was enough for me to go a different path."
"At one time Eagleville was a very good rehab. Wow have things changed! I called there 7 times and left my name and contact information to help someone. Nobody ever responded to any of my calls even though I left all of my contact information. They have an answering service because no employees ever answer the phone. How does a place that calls themselves a hospital not return an urgent call seven times. This shows me lack of concern. The opposite behavior of what a treatment center should have!"
"My brother has been there for 3 weeks. He calls me everyday. I have not heard from him in 4 days. I have left several messages asking staff to return my call. They haven't I want to know if he is OK, did he get COVID, did they transfer him? Where is my brother?"
"ZERO stars. My mother was transferred here under the guise that there was an actual hospital on campus to continue treating for her complicated medical issues going on, plus receive addiction rehab treatment. This is not the case, no actual hospital on campus. If you have any medical issues that need continued care before transferring from hospital to this addiction rehab, DO NOT GO!!! If you have ANY personal possessions, DO NOT BRING THEM!!! They will not give you much of your belongings to you, most of them being put in lock-up. And if you have to leave to go back to the hospital, they will REFUSE to give your belongings back. My mother is NOT going back! The staff here did not provide any consent paperwork for emergency contacts, family or others that would be able to discuss her care. My sister had to call the POLICE to go in to the building and DEMAND to give my mother a phone to call 911. If you call into the main building, the operator does not have any extension numbers, therefore your messages to any staff there are NOT communicated. And no one will call you back. The medical negligence of this facility is outright DESPICABLE, I cannot believe the last 3 complaints filed just this year alone to the PA state department of health found the facility in compliance. Eagleville also has a consistent outbreak of COVID!!! This means their sanitation practices are non-existent. Please, please, if you are considering going here...DON'T! There are plenty of other addiction rehab facilities better than Eagleville within 30min radius. To conclude, the head doctor of Jefferson hospital's main campus is keeping my mother until her medical issues resolve, thank goodness. I feel so much better knowing she is NOT going back to Eagleville."
