About Us
Literacy Pittsburgh, located at 411 Seventh Avenue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free educational programs for adults and families in Allegheny County and Beaver County. With a mission to help individuals improve their reading, writing, math, English language, digital literacy, and workplace skills, Literacy Pittsburgh assisted over 4,000 people in the Greater Pittsburgh area last year.
Through adult literacy classes and tutoring, Literacy Pittsburgh helps students transition from learning to earning, enabling them to succeed as workers, parents, and neighbors. As a 501(c)(3) organization, Literacy Pittsburgh is committed to transparency and accountability, with audited financials, Form 990 documents, and annual reports available for public viewing.
