"Rude staff, disrespectful on many fronts. Attitude from the operator and nurse. These people are desensitized from others suffering, and it shows. Avoid this hospital at all cost. Showed no willingness to give my father a larger catheter bag so that he can sleep. He is filling his bag three times an hour. Thanks for taking our money and treating us like we are lesser. Terrible hospital ."
"I gave this hospital 1 more chance since my first experience their was horrible and now my 2nd time to their ER was worse than my first visit. Patients go to the ER because they can no longer treat themselves at home. The last thing a patient wants to experience at the ER is more frustration while in pain. The ER staff is unprofessional. We put our trust into the medical field to help us and that no longer exists. Medical professionals take an oath when they get their medical license and almost all have broken that oath. Corporate medical should not be trusted. When a medical worker approaches you with the mouth of a child or someone who belongs in the streets but then wants to walk around as if she’s above you. When she’s only a check in girl was trying to intimate me and that actually made me laugh maybe she should remember who pays her pay check. CMS must of gotten to her head. And she should be ashamed of the human being she became. Her personal life must be really miserable. My experience there gave me confirmation that everything I thought is actually true because only guilty people act that way!! So thank you check in girl."
"I wish there was a no star option. Sat in an EMPTY waiting room for 2hrs before even being seen. Sat in a room for 2 more hours with no nurse checking in or a tech taking a set of vitals. The only reason we got anyone's attention was because my grandmother the patient started yelling "hello is anyone out there?" as she was literally covered and saturated in blood due to a stitch from a surgery from earlier in that day came out. A young man came in and offered to get a nurse. The nurse came in with an attitude as if we were bothering her from who knows what because the patient population was about at 10 other people. Asked for a DR and was told "they are in rounds you will just have to wait your turn." Since when do DRs do "rounds" in an ER??? Any ER I have ever been in or worked in never had DR rounds in the ER. I am a nurse and would have NEVER answered any of my patients or their loved ones like this. The staff maybe needs a re-education on empathy and bed side manner. For being such a nice facility I was wondering why it wasn't busy and after the attitudes, lack of care, and lack of empathy I now know why this ER is so baron. Our time frame is total was 6.5hrs and out of those 6.5hrs we received roughly 45mins total of human interaction with the hospital staff. Terrible, terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE service and the nurses and Dr's should be ashamed of themselves! Will never trust one of my loved ones in this place again. Lesson learned!"
"First time ever having to come to an er in Pennsylvania. I've lived here over six years, and tonight, I needed to go to the er. When we arrived, the ladies that check you in were nice and professional. We saw the triage nurse who was very kind as well. We were called in right away, and our nurse who was waiting for us was very nice, efficient, and explained everything and was amazing. The doctor came in a few minutes later, and she listened to questions and told us our options. Everyone was a professional and courteous kind and the exam rooms were very clean. I arrived at the er around 1am and was done by 2am. Thank you, lehigh Valley, for your hard work and dedication to patient care."
"It’s a slow Friday night and I am having trouble breathing. I’ve been in the waiting room for 2 hours along with only 4-7 other patients. The atmosphere seems too relaxed to be called an ER, especially for being 10:07pm. A piece of advice for one who decides to make the trek to hecktown oaks facility; make reservations when you start to feel any sort of symptoms. St. Luke’s now has as a patient for life, thank you lvhn!"
