"I am currently having the same issue as one other reviewer. While the procedure went perfectly and I would like to recommend the practice, doctors & staff, I also received an unexpected $1500.00 bill from "WCS Sedation" which apparently is out of network for my insurance. When I checked to see if the endoscopy practice was in network with my insurance, natural assumption would be everyone billing me that day would be as well. At no point did anyone inform me otherwise or that the anesthesiologist might not be. The practice is in violation of current law & the “No Surprises Act" because of this. WCS Anesthesia is violating the law by "balance billing" its patients with surprise charges. Encourage patients to ask ahead of time about this to ensure you are not hit with a surprise bill afterwards!"
"I signed up with this practice as an in network provider for my Blue Cross/Blue Shield for a procedure. While I have no complaints about the care received for the procedure I received a bill for $1500 a month after for anesthesia. When I called to inquire why there was no insurance coverage for the anesthesia when it was a covered in network provider, and anesthesia is not optional, I was told that they have no control over what anesthesiologist does the procedure and in my case the one who did it was not in network. I expressed frustration that I was not made aware of this possibility up front, and also that I had assumed it was considered part of the in network procedure, and was told quite rudely by the billing person that she did not have any more time to talk to me about it. Double check your coverage or go elsewhere where you can ensure anesthesia coverage as that is the largest part of the bill."
"Just had an endoscopy and colonoscopy today. I was scared just because, but they were absolutely wonderful from the beginning to the end. Everyone had great bedside manner and I don't remember a thing. I will definitely be back there for any othertests I need done in the future. Thank you for a great experience."
