"I worked with this doctor for years before realizing how unprofessional and sexist he was. It was always concerning that he had clients in for 10-20 minute visits. Usually that was the length of my visits, and I only saw him every 3 months. But I thought (foolishly) that he just knew us all so well.... the first red flag was him FORGETTING that I had an eating disorder, something I had told him on my initial visit. The final straw was telling him that I was planning on getting pregnant, and him thinking that he would basically have to meet my husband to decide if I was ready to reduce my medication further and have a child(!). I was so shocked I did not know what to say, but I texted my husband to confirm I was not crazy to feel this way, and wrote him a letter expressing my feelings. I'm embarrassed that I was so naive. But I needed to tell my story. I would recommend going to anyone else. This doctor needs to have sensitivity training."
