"I bought all of my jewelry from Kay Jewelers back in 2014 and had all of my receipts to prove it. I asked if the lady wanted to see them and she said “no I’ve been doing this for 20 years. I know what to look for and I don’t believe these are from Kay Jewelers.” Again, I keep all my receipts for big expenses. I paid at least $400-600 for each piece of jewelry. She looked at 1 of the 5 pieces of jewelry that I had and said she wouldn’t take it. I didn’t take her decision personally but I was curious as to why because in my mind all of it was real when she didn’t believe it was. I wasn’t sure what specifically she was looking for to say that it was fake so I decided to ask so that I don’t ever get taken advantage of when buying more jewelry in the future because I’m not a jeweler. Instead of sharing some knowledge, she instead said she wasn’t going to look at my other jewelry. Her reasoning was because she felt I was questioning her 20 years of knowledge. Now I’m even more confused because I thought I could learn something when instead she thought I was questioning her integrity. I’m very disappointed at the assumptions. As a business owner, you should at least be open to at least hearing somebody out if they’re curious but I get it. I only asked 2 questions. Maybe she was having a bad morning. At least that’s the excuse I’ll give her but if you’re looking to sale any of your jewelry; I don’t recommend this place at all. The guy seemed cool but he was helping someone else and the lady took it upon herself to try to “help” me. When I first walked in, she was bringing in some dogs and complained how one almost spilled her coffees. Instantly the guy says “Uh oh you don’t want to do that. You don’t want to spill her coffee she’ll be mean the rest of the day.” I should’ve left right then because that’s childish to me. That’s no excuse to treat somebody you just met and just trying to get information like rubbish. It felt like a personal problem. Maybe it’s because I’m black idk lol. Overall, it was weird."
