Horace Mann Elementary School

Horace Mann Elementary School, located at 150 Walt Whitman Boulevard in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, is a primary school that focuses on instilling values of respect, responsibility, and citizenship in its students. The school offers a challenging academic program while also nurturing the whole child and fostering lifelong learning.

The school recently hosted a Mental Health Task Force Community Outreach Program, featuring panelists from various organizations including High Focus Centers and Penn Medicine. The Cherry Hill Public School District is also offering summer enrichment opportunities for students entering 5th through 11th grades, as well as a Summer Music Enrichment Program.

Due to COVID-19, Full-Day Kindergarten and 1st Grade Registration for the 2022-2023 school year will be completed online. The school district is also hosting an evening with useful information and resources on alcohol and drug abuse.

Horace Mann Elementary School is proud to be a Rowan University College of Education Professional Development School, providing resources to support academic and social-emotional growth in students. The school follows an early dismissal schedule on certain dates, as communicated by Acting Superintendent Dr. Kwame Morton.

The Board of Education has approved sending the Superintendent Contract to the Executive County Superintendent for approval, with the appointment of Dr. Kwame Morton as superintendent pending. The school also has a strong focus on anti-bullying efforts, with designated coordinators and specialists in place to address any issues.
