"Stage 4 Cancer patient here, due to THIS VERY VA clinic straight up ignoring my symptoms for years. 100% service-connected veteran. It's all in my records. If you have a DEATH WISH, you're in good hands at the VA Clinic here in Binghamton. Good luck getting them to answer a phone. I called for four months straight when covid first happened, with no answer, not even an answering service. This clinic abandoned all patients during covid. It's bad enough that this clinic told me I didn't need a Pap smear for five years, only to find out all my complaints were real because it turns out I have recurrent metastatic cancer, it's almost like I tried for five years to get them to do something about it. My entire care team knows that I'm a stage 4 cancer patient. None of them care enough to make sure I have my prescribed medication on time. THIS VA clinic' gross negligence is THE ONLY REASON I HAVE CANCER IN THE FIRST PLACE. IF THEY LISTENED TO ME THE FIRST 398247843 TIMES, WE WOULDN'T BE IN THIS POSITION! SO IF YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH, COME TO THE BINGHAMTON VETERANS AFFAIRS CLINIC. They WILL make sure to find a way to kill you & they'll make sure you're in intense pain the entire time. They will also gaslight you, then when you prove you were right all along & call them on it, THEY get mad & indignant at YOU. They've now 100% abandoned me & I'm going into severe withdrawal. They are a week overdue with my CANCER medication & refuse to help me whatsoever. I told them TWO WHOLE WEEKS (FOURTEEN DAYS) AGO. They have done absolutely nothing to help me. They say they are but I'm still sitting here, after. week straight of them trying to figure out "where my medication is". They just say they 'have no control over anything & you're basically screwed!'"
"Been going here for over 10 years. They do the bare minimum. They have no reliable services for homeless veterans. They have horrible communication skills and just repeat nonsense information read from a pamphlet designed to frustrate and irrate you till you hang up and"
"The list of misdiagnosis is far to long and hurtful to list here. If you only need to check and see if you heart is beating they'll do just fine. Too bad the behavioral health is in the same building and has to be associated with the medical section since they do a pretty good job. New update 11/22/22 Today I witnessed an elderly veteran being told to wait outside in 20 degree weather for someone to come and talk to him. He was walking with a cane and not a problem for anyone. I went out and talked to him and told him to come back inside while another vet told the receptionist he was to come back indoors. Myself and two other vets stayed with him until someone from the back came and made him go outside again. I passed by them on my way out and they were being disrespectful in their tone towards him. It might seem a little picky but would it be too difficult to add the words please and thank you to the vocabulary of the people that work there."
"After weeks of attempting to get an appointment for my 89 year old father, we had a video appointment. The doctor told me to call his nurse "Theresa" and have her schedule physical therapy & home health checks. She was not empathetic to his needs, more concerned with her own and getting covid. she informed me that she could "put the requests out there, but it would be 1 to 3 months before he could get any service" she said everyone is suffering now and I needed to understand she would not put other nurses at risk???"
